The virginity thing became a lazy crutch after a while. If I was show runner I would give Donna IBS and use that as the reason she doesn’t have sex. Donna: Not tonight David, we’re still cleaning it off the walls after last time.
This was the beginning of the Suzanne chronicles. They dragged this story out for so long, with Dylan going back and forth with trusting that she's his late dad's ex, and that her daughter is his half sister.
Dylan was an idiot and didn't listen to Jim's concerns. Dylan made a lot of terrible choices, starting with cheating on Brenda with Kelly. Then the back and forth with those two breaking up then getting back together, just to break up yet again. Dylan and Kelly were the most exhausting characters in this show. I blame the writers for this, of course.
@@DavidAnthony261it was a genius storyline. 9 year old me fell for it completely. And that adorable Erica actress had made a Heidi film a couple years before. Her face was exquisite
I love the sad expressions when Suzanne says she might have to go back to waitressing. Brenda and Kelly in particular look as though it’s some great tragedy.
Love Kelly's indifference when Suzanne complains about going back to waitressing. Dylan should have listened to her warnings about Suzanne and Kevin but at usual he treated her like a dumb blonde.
Suzanne: I’m Suzanne and this is your sister Erica Dylan: How this possible? Suzanne: Let’s just say your father had a habit of exploding in cars. Dylan: Huh? Suzanne: Back seat. No rubber. $20 bucks. I mean I’m no Picasso but am I painting a picture here?
"Children in the playground, being chased by the grim reaper." That description actually sounds hilarious to me, shame that we never got to hear David actually say it.
David on drugs was insane haha, he had to hit rock bottom twice, i suppose most of the peach pit gang had their encounters with it, it became a bit of a parody in my view.
Suzanne was a pretty good actress that Dylan completely bought what she was selling, with the aggrieved how dare you accuse me of some shady background. David is a jerk no matter if he's high or not.
She claimed to be Dylan's late father's ex girlfriend, and the mother of his half sister. Dylan spends half a season agonising over whether or not she's actually legit, and just when he decides that she is, SPOILER ALERT! She was scamming him all along.
Remember when Hillary Swank joined the cast and was basically the exact same character Suzanne pretends to be? No wonder she didn’t last long. It worked out better for her in the end but the show really screwed her with that pointless character.
@@evas9735 I think it was necessary to give some validity to Steve's later transformation into full adulthood when he became a husband and a father himself. In this context Hillary Swank + the kid (Zack?) could be seen as transitional characters that were required to convince the audience that Steve could be believably perceived as an alright father-figure and not just an overgrown man-child.
