Mike making an excuse for a Stugotz level clearing of the throat on anxiety meds. I love how David told him that never causes me not to hit the cough button. Over time I have become a David Sampson fan. His bluntness and cold hard truth is much appreciated.
@@macdaddy2344 I think he's the same on both shows but on this weekly spot he has mike and others to bounce back and forth with. He even said that on his own show all his bad habits come thru because he's alone talking to a camera.
It's price gouging by a secondary market. Those ticket selling accounts are the ones they're trying to suspend. If you buy a Mets game 162 ticket at the beginning of the season it will be cheap because it's a potentially meaningless game. If it turns out to be a tie breaking game to make or miss the playoffs that ticket will be sold on the secondary market, but you'll still get to attend the game at the price you paid initially. The team doesn't get to come and demand more money from you because it became a bigger game. All they are fighting for is the right NOT TO SELL THEIR TICKETS TO RESELLERS ONCE THEY FIND OUT WHO THEY ARE. This will keep tickets away from the secondary market. The rub is that the teams will re-price unsold tickets based on demand, because no shit they will.
We had a different term for dynamic pricing when I was going through business school: price discrimination. It's a more negative sounding term, but undeniably more accurate: you're trying to foil the traditional supply and demand curve by charging everyone what they're willing to pay for your product (also known as "perfect price discrimination"). The only difference between it and price gouging is that it's not set against the background of a tragedy, but it's explicitly hostile to consumers in the same way.
Could give two shits about Aaron Judge. I watched more baseball this year for the first time in a long time just to try and expand my sports entertainment palette to not be only football. Starting to watch more hockey and basketball now too.
Please stop having samson on the show. Doesn't he have his own podcast? If people want to hear his crap they can go somewhere else. I've been missing 1 hour of show for over 10 years because I refuse to listen to him.
So it’s cool to be 💯 profit oriented except if what you do could hurt someone? All this crowdfunding that’s made opportunities like your podcast available because it’s got offerings everyone can afford and participate with aren’t good business? I believe that’s what they call talking out of both sides of your mouth. Appreciate you showing all your colors Sampson, people need to see that rich smart people are also just as dumb and hypocritical as anyone else
The worst part is his tag “it’s not personal”. Such a copout. I appreciate what he brings to the show but at the same time I hope he never regains his sense of taste.
"Dynamic pricing, also referred to as surge pricing, demand pricing, or time-based pricing, is a pricing strategy in which businesses set flexible prices for products or services based on current market demands."
Ben Simmons doesn’t need to be in the nba. He sucks. Why can’t media admit it? Excellent defenders dnt foul out in preseason and season debuts foh. Good defenders dnt get Ben Simmons air time. He’s a media charity case…
David is right in not including CFB as a “major sport” for TV ratings classification purposes. Discussions never include the Olympics in this regard either.
Mike is 100% right about dynamic pricing. Bruce Springsteen tickets skyrocketed and nosebleed seats. LAST row. raised to $500 a ticket just minutes after they went on sale. Set a price, and let people buy them.
7th grade me playing tackle football for the first time asked to pee got yelled at and had a panic attack. Held it for about 2 hours until I couldn’t and just peed myself on the field.
I'm tired of ppl pretending they are a business. They are a commodity and ppl like it so don't squeeze your fans so they have less to provide for their families
Mike's has always been the man behind this show. I'm sorry to hear that he suffers from anxiety enough to medicate. Everybody has a different way of dealing with it, I agree with Stu, more doobies. All the best to Mike and anybody who siffers from anxiety.
