I have been trying to find a message from my parents on old phone tapes. This is very emotional as I lost both parents within 18 months when i was 30. Someone then told me that the first thing to go is the abilty to recall their voice. She was right. What a precious item you have.
Incredible that the wonderful Mr. Suchet who is for so long in film and TV, has at the end of the XXth century no other recording of his mother's voice. But I am his age and have none of my father who travelled the world and made many pre sound amateur films, and of my mother (who lived to 2011!) also only a phone recording and a few minutes of video tape. Still, every scrap gives them back for a moment.
How touching! Beautiful, bright filial feelings! How hard it is when parents die! The voice of the mother is the most valuable treasure, which is more precious than all the riches of the world.
I lost my husband suddenly on 1-23-18, after being married only 68 days. I'm grateful that there's a video of him I can watch, which was recorded in Nov 2016.

My Mum died 4 month ago...and I wish I would have such lovely memory of her. Because of her Alzheimer's desease she didn' t speak the last month before her death. Thank you for this video - and especially for the lovely presentation by David Suchet whom I loved beeing Hercule Poirot.
