Fantastic to find this - as a lifelong Sylvian fan, starting with Brilliant Trees these live recordings of his body of work from 1984 to the early 1990's are great to see. Such musicianship, such skill.

@@nickyweather8311 Turns out Danny Thompson played double bass on the original (of Orpheus, from Secrets of the Beehive), so I'm guessing they found a very capable gun-for-hire for the tour?
I was wondering who the bass player was. I assumed it would be Mick Karn but it wasn't. It was Ian Maidman. And as of 2000 he/her is now Jennifer Maidman. Still making music today.
@@MrTeddycozmik He could have stuck with Japan and run with it into a lucrative future but he chose to follow his heart and, I think, produced the most lasting music I've ever heard. It's thinking, feeling music which is why I still listen to Gone to Earth and Spirit of the Beehive endlessly. Can't say that about anyone else. Just a thought.
@sama3033 Absolutely 💯 he lived in Minneapolis not far from me for 5yrs. He said it was the best time of his life. Most consider it a fly over state. Well, I'm 1988 the amazing NA tour started at the Guthrie Theater. He's a God send for the music industry 🙏
