@@badassmoralfukka1 I think that's his point. The fact Ryan was able to make someone like David Wallace lose his patience who clearly has the patience for Micheal Scott says a lot about how much Ryan messed up lol
I'm generally against the idea of someone being reduced to tears at the workplace but if there is anyone who has it coming, it would be someone like Ryan.
Something similar happened on my first day of internship. A guy got chewed out and apparently fired on that day because he committed fraud. Felt bad for the guy even though I didn't really know him. But still made me shivers down my spine when I remembered how the boss yelled could be heard from the 2nd floor.
@@kyoroshidest1865when I was young my father owned his own buisness with a "friend". This friend not only embezzled alot of money from my father he also committed fraud against their customers.. My dad's reputation was ruined in that field of work. Thankfully he was able to find a new carrer path. I guinenlly laughed when you said you felt bad for the guy getting yelled at as if he is some type of victim in that scenario. It's always easier to sympathize with criminals when you're not the one impacted by thier terrible decisions.
In real life, they’d both be fired and unable to ever find a good job in the business world again because Ryan committed financial sales fraud and Michael is an idiot with no self-awareness who costs the company a lot of money and grief with his antics, but speaking within the context of the show universe, I would think that the reason why David Wallace is considerably nicer to Michael than Ryan is because, *at the very least,* Michael, simpleton though he may be, genuinely *means well* and is good at making sales with clients face to face. Yes, Ryan is smarter than Michael with a better education, but he sucks at sales and he deliberately committed a crime of fraud against the company to cover up his own laziness and unwillingness to learn.
Peter Schipper well despite the antics of Michael, he IS good at his job and his branch has done well for the company. I think while David is baffled by whatever it is that makes things work, they DO work.
@@shmeagol I won't say, respect. Micheal quits later in the season because he realised in 15 years working there, Wallace doesn't respect him but just tolerates him. Wallace just sees Michael as a nice guy, buffon that's actually strangely making a profit. He would have got rid Micheal a long time ago if he could. He's tries putting in Charles to buffer himself from Michael.
@@Castlevaniaco21 Simp wouldn’t really work here Simp is for someone who sees someone else like god and when they do things wrong they don’t get mad in fact they support that person. Simp is someone really obsessed over another Here, this person is not a simp.
@@Castlevaniaco21 FTR, calling someone a “simp” because you’re trying to look cool or hip by using the latest catch phrase/slang/lingo just makes you look like an idiot, especially in this case, where you actually used it wrong. BAHAHAHAHA!!
Probably a coping mechanism he is emotionally immature and doesn't know how to show genuine appreciation like an anime tsundere girl lol but he was relieved and thankful foe Michael probably doesn't know how to respond for all the BS he did in the Office and Michael and yet Michael still vouched for him to keep his job.
Playanese I’m the sensitive one? Haha you completely missed the point of my comment and have proceeded to write an entire paragraph about how I can’t take a joke. Read my comment *very* carefully again and you’ll notice it’s actually a joke.
Its so true! She calls PAM the office mattress but ANGELA is the one kissing one man in the break room and having "physical relations" with another right below the break room! I feel bad for her cats.
:D lol good one. Whatcha lookin' for, ain't nobody gonna help you out there! Jesus could come through that door and he's not gonna help you if you don't stop sniffing after my child!
I laughed so hard when I noticed that because though he’s most likely just wiping his nose from crying, it just makes it even funnier because it was such great timing 😭🤣
Ryan is a narcissist, most ppl are worth your kindness…toxic ppl are a whole different story. They are predators who mistake kindness for weakness. At best, just ignore those ppl.
pyromaniac ryan was keeping a list of people that wronged him for when he makes it all the way back to the ceo of dunder-mufflin. earlier in the same episode, he puts kevin on that list for calling him fire-d guy instead of fire guy.
What Michael did for this kid was actually a noble thing. Maybe misdirected and non appropriate, but made it out of heart for the sake of what he considers is his friend.
Eh he kind of stuck up for him but once he found out he would be responsible for him if he screwed up he immediately tried to weasel his way out of it.
Right he sounds like trump actually if u think about it Michael personality is exaclty like trump but for some reason we love Michael and want to punch trump right on the fkn hair "face"
@@kogy426 because Michael also has redeeming qualities. He cares about people. In fact this scene is an example of just that. Trump only cares about himself and his public image. (which is ironical, because the person that destroys Trump's public image the most is Trump himself)
I enjoy his character but he has a few wooden moments. Like when he finds out Pam is dating Jim after just asking her out. He doesnt play the awkward part, well.
I don't see anything wrong with the comment. Dude was in pain and probably not thinking 100% straight due to emotional distress. People say silly things when they're distressed.
I also dislike Michael even after watching the whole show sure he has some good qualities but overall he's a bad boss and his bad qualities are way worse than his good ones.
Eh I think Jim just froze there like he felt it was awkward to approach. Don't forget Ryan hates him and he knows it, so he was like "OK Ryan is crying, what do I do" basically what any of us would do if you walk in on a co worker who hates you crying
@@Adrian_Martinez1261 One of my favorite Pam lines: "Ryan, I honestly don't think you are a good person. And I feel like we have had this conversation before..."
David Wallace was completely right to immediately re-fire Ryan on the spot all things considered, I'd have absolutely done the same. The man put everyone's livelihoods in danger by his criminal activity, and the fact he didn't have the least bit of gratitude to Micheal for (completely undeservedly) saving his job really proves just how bad a person he is. He didn't regret his crimes, he only regretted getting caught.
@@jtm232556 well, you either didn't get that op was making a joke, which would be a woosh, or you did get it and decided to rain on everyone's godforsaken parade.
I really wish they expanded on this and made him reflect on all the stuff he'd done to that point that hurt people, and I wish he would have turned into a good person in the end. Would've been one of the best character arcs in television history.
Tô be fair until the finale I don’t recall him actually doing anything that bad. There was that incident of insubordination where he ended up in the closet, but I think overall he settled in to his underwhelming life and accepted it with grace. He doesn’t even continue with his list after this episode. He even tells him a couple of episodes after this how he’s quit the rat race.
“Who do you think you are? You are the most worthless piece of ...” -David Wallace Finally someone gave it to Ryan! Too bad this wasn’t in the episode.
cristi dules exactly what I was thinking. If anything I thought him trying to always be the people pleasure was what got him into trouble. It was almost like he was too nice but still I loved Wallace! He was a great guy udk what that dude is talking about.
But they can’t create it out of thin air, they have a limited amount of content and once they’re out they can’t create more, so they’re not gonna post very often
Honestly this is just proof that Michael is the most caring kind of person, even as a boss. People could say he's just trying to be Ryan's friend but I think he genuinely cares about him and wants to see him succeed. He just needs some direction, that's all.
Michael is such a nice boss. I felt bad for Ryan when he got yelled at, but I'm also angry that Ryan didn't thank Michael for helping him keep his job.
Knowing David as the most patient guy and appreciative that he trust Michael as a friend and as a leader, he probably meant everything he said about Ryan
“Let’s make this the last time we have to talk about this. ‘That’s totally up to you.’” Has the same energy as “I’m really tired of one way conversations. ‘Then stop talking.’”
Michael is like the one employee who does every single thing wrong except for one thing, to close deals which he could only does properly. Which he did so well that it was probably the only reason why Dundler Mifflin still in operation and David Wallace still have his job. Thats why he get away with his dumbness.
