I love turning to David Whyte; he speaks such universal truths, and that is where wisdom is found. I also understand just how difficult it is to not reference well-known political persons. However, whenever that is done, many people are alienated. Your audience is actually derived from persons on both sides of the US political spectrum. The thoughts being shared by David Whyte, after all, are indeed universal truths: which means that persons on both political sides are often, and usually, guilty of the same 'unraveling', whether others can attest to it, or not.
Thank you David Whyte for your kind soul. My copy of Consolations was one my Life Support Systems 2 years ago. Its on my desk now as i type this. I found the silence within by finding the profound silence of the African savannah when my Life ship smashed into the rocks of middle age crisis. I love being with trees now - i can almost feel them breath in the silence. The life force is strong in this nature reserve that I go to a few times in the week. It reminds me of the life force in me. .. something i forgot , living in a busy city. Much love from South Africa.
