About David Wilkerson
David Wilkerson was the Founding Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade.
In 1987, David Wilkerson returned to "the crossroads of the world" to establish Times Square Church. As a pastor of the church, he faithfully led this congregation, delivering powerful biblical messages that encourage righteous living and complete reliance on God.
David Wilkerson had a strong burden to encourage and strengthen pastors throughout the world. From 1999 to 2008, he traveled around the globe holding conferences for Christian ministers.

I used to live there and plant city and winter haven 19871-1991. It's tough down there..lots of drugs and more poverty and crime than most people might think.

Lord God in heaven I come to you in the name of Jesus and I bring this dear sister her grandson and her son to you. Jesus you said that if we were to ask anything in your name you that God in heaven be glorified. I'm asking now that you would wrap your loving arms around this family. Place I had your protection around them draw them to you with your goodness and give them the peace that passes all understanding. You said if two people on Earth agree as touching anything it would be done for them we standing on your word Lord. Jesus said that life was to know you father. You can breathe life into any situation I asked that you would move for your glory amen

I am from a Pentecostal Holiness "sanctified" church denomination. I noticed many of the same "trends" in the charismatic group as David Wilkerson. There was no emphasis for holiness, repentance, discipline, sanctification AND the Bible was de-emphasized. The primary requisite was that the individual speak in tongues. But the fruit of the Spirit was not emphasized. I hesitated to say anything, but David Wilkerson accurately summed up the situation.

David was an extremely powerful prophet, wish he was still with us he was taken home in 2011. Deeply miss him. May God have mercy on us all. 🙏✝️😔

April 27, 2011. After the shock wore off, I was glad The Lord took him home. He spent his soul for Jesus.

Prophets had a specific calling an the credentials to go with it. You can say The "spirit" of prophecy was upon his life but he was not a prophet the last Prophet was Jesus. The 2 Prophets to come via Revelation are Elijah & Enoch. I might add that if you back up to the 50's you would of heard this same message being preached. God always speaks of His Word & warnings to His people. 1953 A.A.Allen had a vision of America being destroyed with the statue of Liberty in the Gulf of Mexico........How did she get from NY to the Gulf.....Paul himself was dealing with the issue Wilkerson is speaking of....

So appreciate David Wilkerson and his ability to bring it back to the basics. Praying to discern the needs of those around us. So simple and true and yet it's so easy to get focused on self. Lord give us that burden for others and help us continually kill sin in our own lives.

I'd love to start a small home church and play classuc messages all day with simple prayer praise and worship and sharing the Lord's supper. I listened to the whole gospel of Luke on thru the Bible last night .fell asleep around chapter 14.

@@gregv79 _Was blessed to have a home church for young-addicted single mothers for years in Iowa. And now, the last 5years, I've been unable to find just one bible believing/preaching church back in my small home town. Absolutely start that home church if you have access to people._

Im scared to death to attend a local church ... .I understand about wheat and tares but I'm too far in to sit with fakers. Id love to meet two born again Christians with a personal testimony and absolute hunger for God's Word 💖🙏

Such a Powerful message from the heart. Really we need the passion, burden to save the lost, to heal the sick, cast out demons from people in bondage and destroy the works of the enemy. We should be the hands and feet of our Master Yeshua Jesus Christ. Let Him break us everyday, for in our brokenness we find His strength and courage. Please do a prayer walk. Whenever you are out and still in the learning stages of God's training, pray for people around. Pray without ceasing. You never know who needs our prayers out there. The Holy Spirit will help and do the rest Please pray everyday for discernment, an understanding heart to discern between good and evil. We need this. Satan is very deceptive. Learn to discern wolves out there in sheep's clothings. The Holy Spirit will help. Stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might Amen.

I've got to thank you again for your encouragement. It made my night and gave me hope..! If it's God's will, fine...I've been to teen challenge and seminary, ..this is the life, the way. Truth be told if hate to get my lowly name on any official "ministry" position. I knew from day one I was a foot soldier 🙏

You all need to drop your haeresies and believe in what the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church has always dogmatically, magisterially taught for 2 millennia and the 'charismatic' movement is unrelated to it. The Charismatic movement is a misinterpretation of many Church teachings, and it is a sign that we are in the end times.

Unfortunately, Roman Catholicism is not Christian as well as the charismatics and many other countless denominations and movements worldwide that teach a different gospel of Jesus Christ. David Wilkerson was my pastor at Times Square Church for many years. One of only a small handful of ministers that preach the TRUE gospel of Christ. Satan and his demonic entities will continue to influence and entice countless churches throughout the world with a false doctrine until the second coming of Jesus Christ.
