I’ve been stalked by an ex. It’s so frightening as you can’t predict what they’ll do next. Looking out the window to check, looking around yourself if you brave to go out, and struggling to live normally is all part of having a stalker. Thank god he left me alone in the end as he moved on to newer victims.
I’m sorry to hear that, you must have felt awful….we have laws in Australia for stalking and the courts put AVO orders to cover the victim ( apprehended violence order)
Mine tried this with me but I stopped caring he can come over here if he want to I’m totally unbothered by the way he calls and he’s blocked but I can still see the missed call but he calls 4-7x a day and drives by my house everyday like a weirdo.
I was a victim of stalking by my ex partner 2019-2020 . Luckily for me, I managed to have a police officer who completely understood the crime of stalking. In Dec 2020, he pled guilty to stalking with intent to cause harm and was jailed for 18 months. I was also given a lifetime restraining order for me and my children. I'm glad this week is raising awareness to stalking as a crime as its ridiculously difficult to prove.
It's a long time ago now (over thirty-five years) and two colleagues and I were stalked by a sacked ex-colleague. He was sacked for gross misconduct. He only stalked the female members of our team. The police were absolutely useless and their advice included changing our phone numbers, moving house, changing jobs, putting our children in different schools. It was an awful time. It did end eventually when our stalker left the country (to avoid arrest and conviction for an unrelated matter).
My rapist is currently stalking me & it’s terrifying. He has a history of breaking & entering, is a psychopath & in his mugshots he’s smiling. I’m terrified

If I post the name of one my comment gets deleted for spam but there’s a ton out there 💗 1/12 women get stalked in their lifetime!
I have been stalked and when I told my co workers they said 'I dont think so, his like that with everyone' To this day I still am made to feel unworthy and my calling for help to my 'friends' was shut down. I now have Complex PTSD, every day is a struggle to get by.
My close friends stalker is still playing mind games he is doing the stalking for somebody else and for his own control. It's all about control control control.They were advised by a domestic abuse officer to change furniture around so they aren't exposed when he stalks and walks past them outside the house or front living room window. And that's with CCTV back and front of house.
My abusive father stalked me and my mother after she divorced him when she discovered he was cheating. He would break into the house and stand over our beds for hours. I slept with a knife under my pillow in case he tried to hurt me since he had made it very clear early in my childhood that he was willing and able to do so. At the time I normalized it because my father was always stalkerish (following me around in the car if I left the house during one of my parent’s fights, texting me incessantly while I was in school or at work, etc.) I’m only recently starting to unravel how abnormal his behavior actually was. I got a PFA against him and moved out of the state so he no longer knows how to locate me, although he does call me on occasion with an unknown number so I can’t block it or properly report the call. I still fear the day he might try to find me again.
whoever charged her with wasting police time for reporting her stalker deserves to be in prison themselves. disgusting. honestly, no woman can trust the police. they're so vile. they actively help men stalk and murder women and in some cases they do it themselves.
3 years ago I texted a cop to thank him for helping me find my new dog who'd run away. He just kept texting. I STUPIDLY, said something like "well, I'm sure I'd offer you a cup of coffee if it weren't Covid but I'm respecting the guidlelines". He wouldn't stop. His last text: "Good thing [ my neighborhood ] is gated". Now I FOR REAL have a stalker (even got notice of an Air Tag yesterday) and have No Interest / Faith in going to the police

Have you explicitly said 'I'm not comfortable continuing these conversations so let's stop this here' or 'Okay well thanks for helping me with my dog. Goodbye then' or anything like that? If you're scared of this guy, I would definitely inform the police. Is he going to be at the police station or is there one you can go to where he won't be?
Stalked and harassed online by my former friends partner. Honestly felt like police couldn't care. I reported it and they said they'd send a crime reference over within 30 minutes. They also told my partner to report it due to it affecting her. I never received my crime reference. Next day, my wife calls the police to report it and while she's still on the phone she gets the text message with her crime reference. I had never felt so low at this point. Just goes to show they didn't give a crap because I was male. I did contact them the next day and they gave me my reference, but I felt like whats the point. One of the reasons it took me 3 years to even report it.
Sorry you are going through that. And absolutely there are a lot of problems within the legal system, when you report. Everything from weak powers, to the attitudes of individual cops. I hope your situation resolved. However, if it didn't, you do need to keep contacting the police - if only to register new events. You also have to record a diary yourself, of everything that happens. Eventually, there will be enough of a record, for them to take action. It should be a quicker process, but the reality is that it isn't. And unfortunately, victims have to be assertive with the police. You have to keep pushing, until you get a cop who understands. I know that feels exhausting, but you owe it to yourself. Best of luck with it all. Sorry again it's happening to you.
My advice is to KEEP A DIARY with dates, places, times and potential witnesses. Record conversations even if it's with potential witnesses, e.g. he's outside again. You can record using your phone which automatically imprint time and date.
I'm a psychologist. I'm not sure what source you're using, however. We know from extensive research (including reports from victims - not just conviction rates), that most stalkers ARE male (between 80-90%). Meanwhile, most (overall) victims are female (about 90%). The victims are generally likely to be split evenly by gender, however, when female stalkers are involved.

There are 14 times more men than women in prisons because men are more likely to confess. Children are the most numerous victims of domestic violence and the abusers are overwhelmingly women but our academics and politicians purport that all DV is men abusing women. Frankly, you're deluded by the false narrative that sustains your livelihood - that women are the only victims...

I'm going through this situation right now. I really need help. At my apartment complex, I'm being stalked and harassed daily by a group of people. And the managers of the apartment, are the ones leading the attack on me. And allowing and enabling others to do this. It's been going on since the first time I came to the apartment. I look back now and see it was going on from the first time I came to put my application in. So many things has happened since then, it's now been 5 years. This true crime genre is becoming a regular on this show and it is disturbing how people are becoming more fascinated with it because there are a lot more pleasant things for people to indulge an interest in….it’s creepy and very rarely is any thought given to those who have had to deal with the loss of a loved one for the rest of their lives. Where’s the respect when someone is getting paid to be on tv rehashing it. My thoughts are always with the victim/s and those who knew them not the entertainment side. But I realise stalking is a problem and needs to be addressed.
He’s a victim himself… unsure as to how you’ve got to seeing this as entertaining… it’s a public service announcement campaign and a victim talking about his experience…. Who are you to tell him not to?

I’ve been going through this for years by one of the teachers at my son’s school. I reported him and he accused me of being the stalker . His word against mine ! And one of the remarks the staff at his school made was,girls stalk guys to. No one believes you when you are being stalked !
I'm being stalked at the gym by a creepy guy. He acts friendly towards me but he is just always around me, watching me constantly. He knows my routine, times his own sessions around mine. He is always interrupting my workouts to talk with me about nothing, he tries to exercise near me all the time, he has begun to ask about me through other gym members, he tries to always touch me. He doesn't seem to speak to anybody else at the gym either, but seeks me out or waits for me to finish an exercise then appears out of nowhere to hold me hostage with another pointless conversation. He is always around trying to walk by and make eye contact. Even when I am wearing headphones, he'll tap me on the shoulder to interrupt me yet again. The guy is obsessed and is beyond annoying. He has even started to use the same lockers that I keep my gear in to cross paths with me and even tries to leave at the same time I do also. It isn't a coincidence when it happens over and over again. He is obsessed and I dread seeing him. Trust your gut always.
@@b.e.d.e.m.An update. Well I began to vary my gym routine times and days to shake him off which has helped but the guy seems to be able to come in almost every day somehow. I also began exercising with friends and noticed that if I am with other people, this stalker keeps his distance. I have also distanced myself from him, deliberately ignoring him and not making any eye contact with him whenever possible. I have told a few people about him and he seems to have sensed my change towards him. I will continue in this fashion and hope to starve him of any attention or contact whatsoever. I did catch him trying to follow me home too. He looked embarrassed to see me catch him in the act, as it was clear that he had no business in the area and then made up some embarrassing excuse as to why he was in the area. I must not drop my guard and continue to starve him of any meaningful interactions. Stalkers are selfish, creeps, only interested in getting their fix and by any means necessary. Never underestimate them, ever.
Have you told him that you that you're not comfortable with the contact? And asked him to leave you alone? It's scary but a needed step so you can report him if he continues to harass you.
Maybe you can tell him ONE time and firmly: "I am not comfortable with you interacting with me in any way. Leave me alone." Try and record it if possible, but then never speak to him again and be sure to document (make note) that you said that-when and where, and document every other incident after that! So then you have it for police. That's all I can think of to try.
I was stalked by a former female friend. She became the resentful stalker even to the point of driving up and down the street i live on several times a day.
THE police i reported my stalker to I lost count how many times I'd reported him, the police did nothing. It took him to put me in I.C.U before they acted, then once they got a statement they left me too it and bailed him because he had mental health issues they said l, he ended up getting more help than me. In the end I moved home town's, and to date I've not told a soul where I am 🤔
My ex partner has stalked me for 30 years now. He spreads terrible stories here in this town and of course online by his hate-group. His followers have burglarized my house for twenty times!!!! Very scary!! Now I have safety installations with video cameras. He and his relatives have power and money and they have manipulated also the police and my landlord. My ex's followers are chasing me by car, and three years ago I was hit by car with broken feet as result. These followers try to hit me by cars!!!! What kind of person does this, stalking for 30 years!!!! He must be a sadistic loser!!!! I don't recognice him any more after 30 years because he seemed like a normal man those days long ago.
Family members who are stalkers have an extra level of entitlement and privelage. People will literally help them get away with stalking and harasment.
I was stalked by a woman that lived next door to me, i tried to be friendly with her at first but she was very odd. She used to seem to know what time i was getting off bus from work and which way i was walking home i could walk 3 different ways and as i had to get a taxi home Sundays as no bus when i finished my shift she used to stand in the corridor of the flats and stare at me she used to phone me endlessly it goes on this is only the tip of the iceberg. The police never took it seriously as it was a woman stalking a woman. I have become a recluse as im scared she will follow me. Not much backup for the ones being stalked.
I've been stalked for nearly 4 years, all the evidence i provided to police was ignored. My stalker even admitted it to family members and the police, police won't admit it!! I've been to the highest HM Chief inspector, Katy Bourne as well as i was advised she's the stalking lead for my area, no help. I'd really love this mans opinion.
The problem is people can choose to feel stalked for negative motives rather than actually being a stalked. Another issue is the police dont ask if there are mitigating reasons it even check if the alleged victim is lying or not. The police are great at cherry picking evidence to back their feminist agenda and ignore huge amounts of evidence which proves they are not being stalked or harassed. In the UK the Act is so badly written it’s unfair to expect anybody to understand what it contains There is a very real issue in the UK with the overriding bias that women are not capable of lying and that men are guilty. The police and Cps are actively convicting innocent people or 50:59 cases because of laziness and not applying the laws fairly .
