@@filipmichalsaffray441 it’s a bit more complicated, especially if you’re going through a color space management since the CSM is technically throwing away the color space of your cameras and giving it a new one. So it does the job of what Cinematch does while also updating Resolves tools to work better with the footage you’re grading, because it’s all now in one pipeline. And cinematch still doesn’t make the colors or images identical, there’s other variables like if the lenses are different, potential white balance difference ect, and it’s still making biases based on “if” the camera profiles are accurately applied to in Cinematch. Cinematch is still a great tool, but i personally find a CSM workflow is a much more effective method of working with various cameras because it updates certain tools in resolve to work better with the image. Just my two cents. Hope that helps
Another example of a smart person who cant teach .. 90% of the video is James talking about how and why you should use the plugin and maybe 1% showing you (badly) how to use it .. and not dealing with most important factor: Stefan, the developer of the plugin, told me in email that the plugin is only meant to be used at end of node tree after Rec 709 conversion.. None of this is mentioned in this tutorial. Oi vey.
