The Cherokee people have inhabited the mountains of North Carolina for thousands of years. Since that time, this culture has experienced many trials and tribulations. But, with their tenacity, perseverance, community involvement, and their strong passion to preserve the arts, the Eastern Band of the Cherokee have continued to thrive. Many believe this fascinating “Story of the Cherokees” needs to be told and no one is better at doing that than Davy Arch, Cherokee storyteller, lecturer, and artist.
