I rewatched this and to rename the units you have to go into the EDIT selection in Studio One (and other DAW's) for each unit and there you can name them. You can also toggle the selections on the units when they power up and when you change the number of the units with the arrow buttons it will change the bottom strips to make the channels 1-8/ 9-16/-17-24 etc...

If you select the XS 1 and 2 upon power up the lower strip will be 1-24. I use a Furman powerstrip to control on and off rather than trying to reach behind the units. The problem is that Pro X's and XS's only give you about 10 seconds to make your selections. If you miss it you have to restart the units all over again.

Hey Dave. Luna works with control surfaces but they haven’t implemented a traditional rewind and fast forward so a control surface with Luna isn’t the best experience.

Thanks for the info. I am not sure how the Qcon works with Luna. According to Icon, they do not support Luna at this time

Hi Dave. Thanks for the great video on this device. I have one and using Reason Studio12 on it. Running on 2.07 firmware and have it connected direct to the pc, not via a hub. My problem is that it just freezes in the process of playing a song. Have to restart it now and again and that sucks. Would you have an idea as to what is going on with it? Any advice for me?

Is there a metal overlay for Logic? Or it only comes with Cubase and Studio one? In other words, when you buy the QCon Pro, do you pick the metal overlay for them to send you?
@HomeRecordingMadeEasy

yes, you can get a Logic insert, I think. check their website to be sure

Hey Dave, looks like you have the latest firmware 2.07 on all 3 units, do not try to update. Way Too risky. To get the channels strip to read channels 1-24 in order from left to right, you need to power down the system, and when powering up, select 2 extenders on the main LCD strip using the right arrow button in top right corner of unit, then select DAW mode. That should set you up in order. sometimes with the configuration you are in with the X in the middle, you may have to select 3 extenders on the screen to get it to work properly. Hope that helps you and anyone just getting started with this system. Cheers!

It would be A LOT nicer (and less confusing) if the faders for each channel were numbered from 1 to 24 (from left to right) on the bottom LCD strips with Studio One. Is there a way to get them numbered correctly rather than repeating 1-8 on each section. That's really not intuitive if they are not numbered correctly from 1 to 24. I am considering buying these units (with 32 faders) and selling my Presonus 32S model, but again that's a stumbling block for me. Thanks as always. Nice video. Phil NYC / Jersey Shore Area

You have to assign the units as Extender 1, 2 etc based on how many units you have and what position they are in your setup then the bottom strips change the channel assignments/display 1-8/9-16/17-24 etc..

Hi, I recently purchased Icon Qcon Pro G2 and it’s been working great. I have one problem though and it would be great if someone could help me. I’m using Cubase 11 / 12 Pro and I have its max fader volume set up at +12db, instead of +6db. The problem is that when I physically push faders on my Qcon controller to max, they only go to +10db max in Cubase. It doesn’t seem to recognize my +12db preference. If I set up Cubase max fader volume to +6db, it works fine with the controller. My controller is set up as Mackie device, and every other function seems to be working correctly. How do I fix this? Some people said that it's the limitation of Mackie protocol but I know that some other controllers are able to go to +12db with their faders, so it doesn't make sense. Thanks in advance
