Nice demo. This looks like the perfect tool for exciting creativity. That's always nice to see indie devs innovating. Can't wait to add it to my arsenal.
it really is I'm super lucky to be able to get my hands on stuff in advanced and showcase it for yall I don't deserve it, especially not lately as I've been somewhat distant from sound design but I'm still working and improving can't wait to see what other people do with this one
@@DataBroth enjoy your toys man. You're very fortunate to have all these wonderful tools at your disposal. I'm stuck with drum sample packs and caustic 3 lol.
And I thought I was done buying synths for a bit…but this actually looks to bring something new to the table. Gonna be a day 1 buy for sure! Been eyeing this since it got shown on VI Control. Had no idea it was so close to release. I’ll be stoked to hear what you’ve contributed, your presets in various synths have been some of my favorites thus far 😁
yo this is actually a dream come true, you sold me on abyss and now they're doing granular? wallet feeling very ill. Is that U/F in the top left user / factory? I hope it can load custom samples.
it's actually spectral and granular, U is for the user library, F is for factory it should come with 25+ samples I recorded + whatever other designers made when you load a sample in, it splits it into 6 different spectral layers as samples, each with its own granular engine
@@dawesome that is absolutely insane, we get user samples AND the ability to independently control each spectral layer?! I'm SOLD. What an absolute dream for ambiences and such. Loading this up with Morph or something... The ideas are already starting to fly. Incredible work.
novum is the deeper of the two, it has far more sound design tools built in. But there are things you can do in abyss that you can't in novum. Abyss lets you create a string of various tones and morph between them. Novum lets you design much deeper tones, but you can't string as many together or nearly as intuitively. Abyss is far more useful for song writing, where the micro details of sound design aren't as important as the macro level story that moving between sounds can create. Abyss is like whole palette to play with and create from, where novum is a tool for creating a single color at a time from scratch
Awesome, this is very helpful. Eventually I'd like to acquire both, but yeah was trying to decide where to start. Thinking now maybe Abyss 🤔 Thank you for taking the time to answer my question and help me out!
