I wish they would have included more Prehistoric creatures in the beginning. Megatherium, Paraceratherium, glyptodon & more creatures during the Paleolithic era. Also, a longer time to be spent in Paleolithic era. Cool Review.
I bought this tonight on PS4 and didn't stop playing for 5 hours. It's now midnight and I don't want to stop playing but gotta get up for work at 6am. Haven't had a fun game like this in a while really reminds me of command and conquer and that was one of my favorites. Can't believe it's made by such a small team it's an amazing dicking game for that.
@@IndieLad well I see (at least from what I know) you can't drag that yellow square and select multiple units, you have to hold a button that pauses everything and you pick them ones by one. But tbh I don't really know never tried it on PC 😂 all I've gotten to see far is building wooden walls and half my population dieing to starvation and disease lmfao.
Theis game looks amazing. Good choice for your first indie game review. About your review, you did a really good job. A short video, you described the game without spoiling anything and highlighted the good things and it flaws. Congrats.
Had this game a week and love it. Number one, you have to survive. I’ve ran low on food during the winter and almost starved. Had 60% of my sheep catch an infection, donkey got struck by lightning and even lost a villager or two. Always find myself trying to fine tune the village production and just when you think you have it, BAM! You lose crops to disease, you have to kill animals and your huts go unrepaired cause you have no straw. Then the raiders feel like like dropping by. Kinda like life. 😊
Love to hear it dude! I found this game while desperately searching "Games like Black and White" Another one is Universim. Haven't checked it out yet but I'm excited to, and when I do I'll be sure to make a review of it!
I noticed that it is extremely hard to maintain food and low workload. To not be completely screwed you have to move at a really really slow pace, which could be a problem when playing hard mode. The developers need to fix how difficult it is to maintain food and the ai’s are extremely dumb and it’s frustrating. I would love to see a multiplayer mode where its a massive map and you can fight, conquer, or team up with other players civilizations. I would love more flat lands too.
I've been trying to beat the Northland's on Hardcore. Managing food and workload is fine but keeping up on tech with the raiders is the tough part. Having a population of 75 and then 45 raiders come with far superior weapons. Defenses are everything are hardcore mode, walls, towers and platforms are a must and priority.
It's on the playstation store for 10 bucks so I have no choice but to get it. I can't imagine the controls being too great but who cares. I don't have a pc right now so if I have the chance to play a game like this on console I wouldn't wanna miss out
Even without the 75% off, I'd say the game is worth buying. I think I might have shot myself in the foot the first go through when I built three settlements spread out all over the place.
I played for the first time yesterday afternoon and WAY later into the next morning that I should have. Its a pity they stopped development on this game. There was a lot more they could have added. (Im only up to bronze age, so could come later?) Stone buildings, berry farming, herbs, herbalists\doctors, roads. Underground mining never seemed to show anyone in the mine... but there were three slots for men which I never once saw populated, despite workload going down to the 30% mark. Assigning groups of people to a hunting party and they kill \ capture as many creatures as they can while they are out... rather than the current kill one animal and head back despite a small herd of animals being marked as hunted run right past. Otherwise a fun game that I'll be playing every now and again.
if anyone reads this please help, i've only just started playing this and i'm a noob. At 3:24 pause the video. i need the material 3 down from the top left, looks like a splat. i don't even know what it is or how to get it. he has 80 of it Also 3 in from the top right and one down i think is leather? how do i get it? he has 20 of it
I've played plenty of Dawn of Man and Banished, love them both. Banished to me was a lot easier, just proper resource management without much outside factors to throw a wrench in your flow. DoM has a lot more rogue elements with the progression through eras and raider attacks. Normal mode is pretty easy but playing on hardcore will give you a real challenge.
I got this game on sale at steam I always wanted to play it because it sounded interesting but I found the controls very confusing and not consumer friendly as they seem to disappear when you need them so I really wouldn’t recommend anyone buying it unless there’s a help that can help me play
That would be, "aren't quite". "Quiet" is the word that means the opposite of, "loud". And then you have the word. "quit", which is what you do when you permanently leave your job. Some people seem to struggle with words like, "Quite, Quiet, Quit". And, "Their, There, They're".
Seems like you can never really flourish in this game.. you plant crops here and build over there, go back and check and it’s like if your not constantly watching the area they slack off. Planted crops in two locations and only one grows or it grows if my camera is in the area. Animals vanish. You will always lose playing this game it has some bugs that needs fixed. Sad.
