Some advises on how to start as a new player. Firstly find players to play with at the discord channel.discord.gg/jKVfpj3 Secondly direct message the guy named Torpid or Rambo on discord and try to get into a clan. that way you can play with clan members when no one is present Thirdly, play on friday, weekends and during European night time. Fourthly, download the newest patch from www.dawnofwar.info forum's release section. Fifthly and most importantly, add everyone you meet on elite mod as a steam friend.
Same Ocean that's calling the enemy team "retards" all the time? No, thanks! Much less so as a beginner that will get a higher chance of getting flammed lol.
Why would anyone play with someone who insults other players? This toxic guy should not be allowed in these matches at all when he does not know how to behave.
How quickly the guards got wiped, even the tanks too. I learn a lot about positioning and staying alert of squads from this vids. Thanks indrid and players
conq 12 Great! The IG needed at least 1-2 ogyrens and whole whooping lot of plasma guns for their GM for this, those zoathtopes and double ravenars from redrevenge and olev got free reign on them blobs. The ogyrens will give him some difficulties and the IG players the needed umpf to push
I like how, with the weird way this game works, having one Guardsman survive and having to spend money on 11 members to reinforce the squad is so much better than just spending the money on a new 12-man squad.
Wow. All the way down to 1 VP, love the intensity of this matches. That was a hectic, chaotic and full of mayhem . Superb rocket runs, I believe I saw 5 tyrannaformations. The tyranids players stopped fielding carnifexes and just focused on anti-infantry and anti-vehicle while the IG players did the opposite. It was good decision to transition from fexes to infantry to turn the tide around , some great usage of purgatus all-around from Oceans. I was wondering what the IG was missing that is solely really needed in tier 2, that was ogyrens! The ogyrens are an excellent choice against tyranids, the tyranids do not have hard counters saved for toxic sacs of jere annoyance to threaten the ogyrens ,especially when there’s two zoathropes , 2x ravenars , they were uncontested, unchallenged and taking shots at the IG blobs, the big lumpy dudes will definitely add the pressure to mow em down. I think this match will be different if ogyrens were present, couple em with lemon russes + karskhins + IG shooty blob , they probably would’ve won
Yeah, I was thinking that about half way through the match too, that the Guard could have really really done with some Ogryns. Help to play the 'nids at their own game. After a slow start in T1, the Guard really made a good come-back in T2 (once that slow Imperial War Engine got rolling), but they ended up losing the edge again. Ogryns really could have helped them solidify that advantage they gained once they hit T2, and stopped them losing so much ground later.
It seems like a lot of players underestimate Tyranid anti-vehicle. So many aggressive pushes that just result in tanks getting completely melted. I guess because venom brood don't snare or set up, they're harder to spot or something?
Venom broods recently were nerfed. This game was played in the last patch (before the nerf). Tyranids don't have set up AV weapons. Most of their AV options are soft counters and they need to acquire several AV options to take down tanks.
Tyranids AV is really good, because all of the synapse bonuses, not to mention the ravenar alpha hero having a passive 25% damage buff to surrounding tyranid allies. The RA hero has anti-vehicle on himself as well. Not surprising when they took it out pretty handily Let’s not forget their lv3-4 AV squads
27:53 "did anything actually die though. I think everything lived" he says as he literally has the ruins of the baneblade in the middle of his screen. The curse of Indrid again.
This was one of my favorite games from this past FW. I'll be sure to send Impreg any good Tyranid replays from this upcoming FW. Also, Olev and Oceans are bicker back and forth. Don't read much into it.
After rewatching this game I'm almost certain that the misplay on the side of Guardsmen players was mostly not retreating on time. The maps are small, retreat doesn't cost much time, and if done before irreversible damage is done, it ensures that survivors can level up and resources can go towards recruiting more high-tier units.
Yeah, IG feels really underpowered in these. They can win with a critical mass of tanks, but having a bunch of expensive units means they get wiped out when they make even a minor misplay. I think IG brings some good units for mixed 3v3s, but they just don't have enough strategy diversity for faction wars.
@@Phoenix2215 This game to me feels somewhat anti-tank. It seems difficult for IG players to make more than a tank or two and simultaneously have enough support for them to survive. They almost always only have one or two tanks out at a time, when in WH40k reality they use much more than that.
why no plasma? or kasrkin? when the enemy army consists of a 1000 venom broods, you should at least get some plasma and not pump out tanks that get deleted instantly
no, toxin sacs The sad thing is, they had the counter to the tyranid build, double stormtroopers. either just getting the sniper rifle to snipe the zoans off the map with the range buff or just concealing them and constantly hunting down the zoans would have been the win for IG and just to make sure they're dead, dead. LC flak jacket inspire terror. That's enough piercing burst to easily kill a zoan in just seconds. they just did not do it.
John Isaac Felipe The toxic sacs is of no issue, the tyranids do not have hard counter to ogyrens. It’s easy said then done to use sniper LG with a shooty blob to try focus fire , the tyranid player can just back away until reinforcements arrive and blast em away with the zoathropes again. The warrior broods will detect the concealed stormtroopers in an instant, so espionage tactics is pointless Have your stormtroopers & guardsmen lay down fire on the temagaunts & homagaunts , focus on the warrior broods as well. Then have the ogyrens chase after the zoathropes preventing em to fire or force retreat, even a good chance of killing a zoathrope on retreat. It’s easy said then done but it has worked before.
hita techi Tyranids have answers against all factions. You have the neurotrophe , genestealers brood , swarmlord, toxic sacs and fexes to deal with heavy and super heavy infantry
Love the DoW series. Love the lore. So may anyone, please tell me how i can change the hot keys in game or in menu. Love this match btw, teaching me a lot
Wow. I haven't watched that many of your videos, but still, every single team that has imperial guard, or is all imperial guard, has lost. Glad to see this one was close though.
@@impregnable-retributioneli1530 That doesnt make sense though. I would never had made this comment if I didn't have the experience I had. Ahh the misunderstandings people have on the internet. If you are curious. I'm pretty sure I've watched about 15 of Indrids videos. I think six or so of those videos had Imperial guard, and in all of those videos they lost. To give you some perspective. 6 is 40% of 15. Give or take, about half of the videos I've watched were the Imperial guard losing. How would I not make a comment like this based on my experience? It's not like Im saying they need to be buffed, I have no idea how this is game is balanced. My only experience with Dawn of war was from years ago with the first game, and even then it was with a huge modpack that was usually unbalanced. So again, a misunderstanding. I know your point is "Stop saying they are weak, you have no experience in matter, and it would only take a little research to realize how wrong you are" Even though all I said was what I had experienced, I wasn't making commentary on that factions worth. And one might ask "Why are you wasting everyone's time with this huge wall of text?" Well it's a pet peeve of mine when people misunderstand rudimentary English on youtube.
Gotta love indrid, leaves camera on nids prepping to attack, soon as fight starts fucks off to look at the rest of the map where nothing is happening, misses entire fight...
Damn i've never seen anyone macro that good using tyranids usually the entire game i keep expecting the tyranids to get reswarmed by the guardsmen in early game, and the inquisitor didn't even manage to really get back in the game after losing that one point
I know this is gonna sound wierd but i called Alejandro's name a split second before Indrid named the Hive Tyrant. I swear ive heard him use that name before.
had a good laugh at the "no have no time" guy not letting the tanks fully repair. bro you had 43~ points you had a little bit of time if your only losing 1 point a sec. if you had just been a little more patient you might have got get that little extra hp pool needed or the push.
Marco dc I know a lot of things didn’t go right in that game but when both tanks get 1-2 shot’d due to being 1/2 hp it’s kinda changes your “Barely a chance” to “no chance”. I’m not knocking your skills I’m making an observation
why do imperial guard players nuke in a crisscross pattern now?, don't they understand that by just putting them in a line and shuffling them in one direction guarantees more squad wipes for their nuke
I believe it was two players who nuked me at the same time. That's why it looked the way it did and in fact, I think it saved me because the creep barrage knocked me out of range of the Rocket Run.
Isn't the fact that there are units that allow reinforcing without any real drawbacks on the battlefield a bit too strong? Like the Chimera. Keep the reinforcing trait but make it so it has to actually use its entrench ability to be able to do so otherwise it does way too well for the fact that its a tier 2 unit.
It's not really. The power of the Chim is that it's a mobile reinforcement platform. It does very little damage, it's quite fragile, and a bit expensive. The reason why it looks stronger than it is, is because of the nature of IG vs Tyranid matchups. Sentinels are extremely strong T1 and Tyranids only counter is Ravs or tech up to T2. Ravs scale well late game and are good against almost everything in the game. But it costs us 40-80 power. This sets the Tyranids back in power while IG can quickly tech up and rush Chimeras. It's seen in all IG v Tyranid games in this set.
27:45 BS if this was COH2 the servers would of been on fire due to angry "gamers" not seeing the squads die from that much artillery. It's so stupid, here the units are made out of ballisticproof rubber, in coh2 units are made out of wet paper. They just cant get it right in ether game.
NOOO! I hoped this would be the second act of Starship Troopers but it turned out to be the first. I almost downvoted at the end - didn't of course though - was a good game to watch and well cast as always. I just really hate nids and their hissy hissy splashy splashy lame ranged weapons.
