She is a beast for tooking down those Huge Palladin and The beauty.. but those Monsters already took Massive amounts of their army before Taldeer came in to engage
I still think Relic should have committed to at least add the Necrons as well. Assholes probably expected the game to fail, and abandoned it the moment negative comments were made.
The game died and I was one those fan who wishes to see the game prosper but this game has huge gameplay mechanics issue. Its very water down compare to dawn of war 1 or 2 and I blame the directors of this game for this. This game had alot of potential and whats bothers me the most is that their last hero units they released had an amazing in-game mechanics that I personally wanted to see more in this game. The hero unit which is call a Wraithseer Kayduin was a huge slap in the face for the dawn of war fans because he had the best in-game mechanics and abilities.
Where are those little stories you put in the description? I miss those. :( Though I wouldn't know what to write when you have Orks and SM on the same team.
Tons o Bombs for the Shoota Boys: They'll throw a stikkbomb about a second or two after engaging a target, it's pretty much instant. The next bomb comes probably 10-15 seconds later, relatively long time. I think. It's the doctrine I use most.
Eldar Corsair here, that was such a rough game! Gotta say though, Shadow Spectres are only great for burning up requisition gotten from destroying objectives -- mobility helps keep the pain train rolling into the base. Bang for buck you've got to take Wraithguard
But wait, there's more to fuel your darkside! :P Wazmakka runs really fast in Meganob armor under the effects of WAAAGH @15:09. g/mnauts will move fast with that too by the way. Gabriel & Nobs swing their big 2 handed weapons with only 1 hand while their other hand remains empty. The plasma cannon dreadnought elite tosses. a. rock. Uses the plasma cannon along with its claw arm to do it. Let the reapers' evil take hold of you Wind Wind. (referencing your Mass Effect meme profile image)
+Rikamar Apex + Wind Wind They decided to focus on a e-sport game, with "cool" new mechanics, over the fluff. I feel like the game isn't targeted toward 40k "fans", and is why so much fluff is missing.
I can see that Curvalles. I think of that as the difference between making a game with the WH40K IP rather than in the WH40K IP. With it would be recognizable but perform different. In it would be recognizable and perform the same as it's already done elsewhere. DoW 3 Lascannons for example could be explained as them using a different pattern the Blood Ravens developed and use. Game could say this in the unit tooltip when building them but it doesn't. Sketchy but reasonablegiven the different patterns already. Some even exclusive to chapters ie the Baal pattern predator tank for Blood Angels. That would be what I mean by with it. Then in the IP would be using the already established and accepted version that was in previous DoW as well as other sources have. Kudos to devs for the effort and variety for a vast IP but some things just don't sit well. I wonder what their vision of the Necrons and Imperial Guard will bring us. (I assume IG will be after the space skeletrons since they already have assets for them in the campaign.)
Yaay 3v3's! By the way, most abilities have an icon that explains the ability a little more. Like the looted stikbombs are an ability in their unit's hotkey bar (at the bottom). They throw them every x seconds at the first target in range afaik.
@@Mecha_Hitler counter strike global offense. A first person tactical shooter by Valve entertainment. A direct upgrade of the othwr counter strike games. It is one of the simplest and most addicting games you could ever play. It is the definition of pure coke.
Reading the comments, so many people bashing, then looking at the like bar, 14 times more likes than dislikes... I still think DoW2 is probably the better game, but it's been out for years and has had a lot of tweaking. DoW3 has only been out a few weeks and I think it is in line for a lot of balancing. I think it looks pretty good though, and you can't say it isn't versatile. Even with only 3 races the army roster combinations are always different and the Doctrines make for interesting dynamics.
This game looks awesome! I does have some problems it seems. It can get a bit crowded on the screen. Poor visibility with all the stuff going on. Still, why is this the marines, orcs and eldar in every one of these games? Where are the Tau, Dark Eldar? Hope they add stuff later - probably the Chaos first. A bit boring.
*100 foot tall mech swings giant sword into other equally giant mech* *Tink...tink...tink* It sounds like the Wraith Knight is hitting you with a putter.
After watching a few replays, I don't hate the game as much as I did from the beta footage etc. Still room for so many improvements. I especially think there are far too many sit back and chill moments where not a lot happens :/
Can anyone tell me if DOW 3 has a tool tip thaat states how much DPS is done by which unit? The reason why I ask is because I keep hearing some mixed stuff ranging from "it's worth it" to "it's shit"
Team on the left side needs to learn how to reverse move their giant mechs. If you turn them around they take more damage from being hit in the rear......
With such big armies, the maps including a lot of bends and chokes, and especially when they made it so mobility-centered, collision would completely destroy the pathing system.
Angry Marine Primaris marines have only just been added and I'm pretty sure that guillamen said that that only the founding legions will have access to them.
Benjamin Ford it hasn't clearly been explained when the game is set so honestly relic can pull anything out of their arse just like the back flipping terminators, how and why Jain zar decided to involve herself in the story and why Laz cannons shoot continuous beams instead of a short burst.
Schaemhazai I want a contemplator dreadnought since somehow the blood ravens have every single relic known to the imperium, I'm sure they have one some where and I want my guards men.
On the other end, i quite enjoy replay of DoW 3, more so than DoW 2 replay. The game is really different from DoW 2, they took big risk, and i hope they will pay off
why do DOW players always just suicide their big units? They never protect them and send them out alone. What do they think is going to happen? it happens ALL the time!
In DoW1 you could only build 1 whirlwind, and this is a balance issue. I'd rather see a hard cap of 2 than a nerf. Whirlwind spam in 3v3 is turrble to play against, it can destroy hard covers and forward bases with zero skill or effort, and non-stop (mean literally non-stop) bombardment shuts the other team down. And the spammer has two other armies backing him up.
Cant you ZOOM OUT ffs!? how do you play this like this? omg everytime they make a new game, someone makes a MASSIVE fuckup that kicks the whole franchise in the collen.
I love it when people bash DoW3 Just remember DoW2 before expansions and how much angry fanboys shit on it because it wasn't DoW1. Nothing new here, I've along.
To add to Kha'ak, Relic also stops supporting DoW 2 and there are still around 300-400 people playing the game at any given time. Elite Mod is our unofficial content updates in Retribution. It's definitely better than DoW 3 statistically here.
Mmmhhh, dont like it...(not at all) D.O.W. 2 = Wayy better cant get into 3... cant top the classic. ( especially this mess which they call Dawn of War 3)
why is DoW3 so shit ? No new races nothing that combined the 2 previous games, wheres astra militarum, chaos, tyrnids, dark eldar, necrons, battle sisters, tau. I dont understand why they would create a game that didnt try and improve the good things they had that seperated themselves from a normal RTS. Im stunned that they didnt launch the game with more races, and the combat seems pretty yawn compared to dow2, dow1 actualy seemed better on many many fronts.
I really want to like DOW3 but it seems like the devs failed in one key factor. If you make a game where someone can't commentate on the replay because there is so much chaos going on ... then you have failed to make a good game.
Indrid has pointed out himself during casts he's missing or not knowing several things often in his DoW 2 vid (this vid is no exception. a 3v3 game mind you) comments have said things he didn't say/know too. DoW3 is still relatively new and he's just 1 person. He can only see and commentate on so many things without rewinding or watching it before recording. So what's the difference you're getting at for DoW 3? Did you see what he didn't commentate on? That's important too for enjoying any spectating. After seeing enough games I can make out enough of what's happening even with the effects and animations, some cases those help because it choreographs things (such as the Gorkonaut using the dakka ability @42:24). Some things are hard to spot though like the Big Trakk's artillery round. Especially when it lands in a group or under a big model. I can't think of anything else like that. Indrid also slows things down at times. I often rewind anyway to check a different bit of a big battle or pause to read a tooltip such as the gretchin repair doctrine at the start of this vid. Can't understand something if you don't try to/play it yourself. Which is a luxury to this casting format over a live shoutcasting.
My comment wasn't directed to be a knock on Indrid but the developers. I don't expect him to have everything memorized right away but he said a few times that he wasn't able to get the information because it wasn't there or bugged. That's the developers fault. And I fault the developers more because they have DOW2 and COH2 as examples to build on but it seems they didn't. Having said all that, the overall design seems to favor blobs over strategic moves. It feels like they took DOW2 and wanted to make DOW3 better by increasing the number of units each player will use in the game. As if more units will equal better game.
Damn, after all this time. I realize that this game just looks so much more sad, when compared to the likes of DoW2 and even DoW in general. Just looking at the layout of the UI, the unit composition and even some of the units themselves, in general. It just looks plane ugly.
