REAL. Period. She acknowledged what happened in the situation, owned her part of the nonsense, learned from her mistake, matured up and moved on. I can already tell you she and Shannon are the only ones that have been handling the situation this maturely (i.e. not throwing subliminal shade on social media). This is how you boss up and move the fuck on. I love Dawn Richard, and Blackheart is AMAZING.

I've always wondered where Dawn gets the money to create her videos, pay her dancers, choreographers, producers, audio engineers, etc. Where does she live? NYC, LA? How does she afford to live there? How does she survive? How many numbers did Goldenheart actually do? Maybe this will give me a close answer as to how she's able to continue being independent. I could care less about the DK drama. I like them, but I love Dawn as a solo artist. Goldenheart was absolutely AMAZING, and I'm loving Blackheart as well. The sound is completely different from Goldenheart, very electronic and dark, but it works. My ears have never heard anything like it. I buy Dawn's albums because I want to do my part in supporting her art so she can continue to create and put it out for us. Using that momentum off Dirty Money (who's album was also AMAZING and very innovative) was the best thing she could have done. I admire her hustle and strength so much and I want her to win so badly. Keep doing your thing Dawn.
This is why I fucks wit Dawn. She's real & honest about the breakup. Yes we're heartbroken but shit happens in life that we cant control. Regardless if Dawn doesn't want fans to pick sides, that's already been done. You have people who hate Dawn & people who hate Aubrey. That's just the way the cookie crumbles.
Here we see Dawn taking accountability for her behavior. Where is this accountability on the other side? Dawn has the humility and grace to admit her human-ness and move forward. Some people are hung up on seeing themselves as flawless and victims. Think about that when you place the blame on an outdated situation.

Ok....if this doesn't inspire people and make them a fan...or AT LEAST forgive her for the whole DK3 thing, I don't know what else will......you have to admire her for being real about this situation andddd still continuing to follow her dreams. These interviews have made me see her in a whole new light. Even after all the hell and blame she has taken, she is still showing concern about how DK fans were treated and how she dislikes the fans picking sides. She owns up to what she has done and I appreciate her for it. Wish Aubrey and Shannon would do the same instead of being petty and spiteful such as making DK concert collages with Dawn and Aundrea cut out of them.
I don't think blame should be placed on who's fault it was in the breaking up of DK. They all were in the group, they all played a part in the rise of the group, they all played a part in the fall of the group. On another note, Blackheart is a stunning piece of ART. It's been so long that I felt connected with another artists music. All the risks she took and everything she has been through is worth this moment right here. I'm glad I am alive to see the growth and the talent and the heart in Dawn Richard. Her vision is an inspiration in itself.
I love all the DK members but sometimes personalities don't mesh and while they perform amazingly together if they clash behind the scenes it's best to cut it lose before it goes too far south. Dawn was always my favorite, you can't deny she has the strongest, most unique voice, it's no shade to the other girls cuz they're all amazing but everyone has a role and in a group there needs to be a distinct sound and to me she brought the thing that made it different. Like T Boz in TLC or for the Kpop fans Jonghyun in Shinee or Sunggyu in Infinite. I wish her the best cuz her voice is amazing.

She teased another version of Castles that wasn't "electronic" 2 years ago on her instagram, I wonder how it would of sounded with DK, Same with Phoenix cause I'm sure it would of sounded more pop.
Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, what hurts is how GOOD the album came out. if it was bad, I'd be like "okay, cool....good they broke up." The fact that is was sooooooo good, HURTS! I guess it's a good hurt because it was one of the best albums of the year. Another thing is I feel bad for Dawn and all the other girls. I didn't know about how this happened with Dawn's family, especially knowing she went through such a terrible struggle with Katrina and everything. I hope everything works out with them. I love "Castles," BTW.

I listen to Danity Kane, your solo stuff & Aubrey's solo stuff on a weekly to monthly basis. As an artist and music businesswoman I think she's great, I love her goldenheart album and her voice is star quality. But I'm a little conflicted with her persona... I get what she's standing up for, but comes across a little aggressive and defensive and also over the top in the way she describes things. It's a bit off putting because I think she is a great act.

My hands are significantly lighter than my face. I have never bleached nor will I ever. There are things that can be done to change the skin naturally. There's drinking more water, going vegan (which she has done) and exercise. In regards to her pics there's lightinh, contouring, and photoshop she has addr all and has been honest. She was going through a lot w/ family so the shady shit in the group made her blackout, that's it. It's not right but somewhat understandable. I love this woman, she has. Always been honest about her life and her state of mind. I been a fan of hers from day one, and even though she has lost alot she has gain so much more. I seen her growth, I seen her accomplishments she is an pure example of success and determination.... you go dawn....
