This guy is my favorite techno dj since i discoverd him 3 years ago. His first boiler is a masterpiece. Had chance to see him 2 times this year in toulouse. It was a blast of pure joy everytime. Thanks Daxj
Are you basing that on track selection? Good DJ but not exactly super high level skills imo. Take someone like James Hype, whose music I don't like for the matter, his DJ skills are absolutely wild. For someone whose music selection isn't my type of thing, I can't ignore the fact this man is a highly technical mixer that most DJs wouldn't go near because you risk mistakes, but it pays off when it works. Hype uses the equipment they way they were designed, like James Zabiela, or Eddie Halliwell years back. Tune wise, Dax is incredible.
@@VoidAbstract Not all!! IMO Firstly, In terms of djing, the majority of DJs for instance do the exact same thing behind the decks, which is not much except beat match and basic FX from the mixer. Sure, you can wear sunglasses, hold onto the knobs on the mixer for theatric reasons, stand on the decks to get the crowd goind going, but anyone with even a a few months or even weeks of djing experience, realises pretty quickly most djs just put on a gimmick behind the decks these days, because really, you don't do much. I'd rather a DJ who plays top tunes than one who tries too hard to look cool and pretty. Not every DJ can or needs to be a James Hype or Carl Cox. Secondly, in terms of music, a lot of artists look up what tracks are popular at the moment and create there latest track off that, so not exactly unique. You wouldn't believe how many do this, especially if someones got a bit of popularity going. Many artists today are nowhere near as creative as those from the 90s because honestly, its so simple now. Have you produced before? If not, give it a bash, you could whip something up in a matter of months, that could turn you into a superstar overnight if Tik Tok picks up on it.
Been listening to that Guy since many years and still, everytime I see that he recorded a new set I get as excited as a kid. And when it comes to seing him live well i’m throwing myself on the walls i guess
he played a set in Mondo Madrid - 3 hours set. He just played two songs: one of them inception and the other do not remebered but bro.... no words awesome. It was like a history that do not want to be ended
