Its not hope. Science isnt about hope. Its about study and observations. Heat death seems the most likely because our laws of physics seem to point to that.

5:55 The thing is there isn't really a "point" to the universe. It just exists, it just _is._ People can search for meaning wherever they want, but finding a reason for existence itself is an exercise in futility. It's like asking, "what's the point of cancer?" or "what's the point of asteroids floating in empty space." There isn't one.

It exists through incomprehensible means. And we are a tiny part of it, assigning human logic consepts like purpose or meaning to the universe is a silly mistake. Its like an ant trying to understand quantum mechanics using its consepts.

It assumes a model where dark energy's force increases without limit, so eventually it overcomes the other fundamental forces such as gravity.
