An octopus is a must for the last day, or have Octavia join Bowie for the last day, but for next costume definitely Sally from nightmare before Christmas
Once again we see Scott being so accepting of LGBTQ+ it really is just such a breath of fresh air to see someone of an older generation wanting to make/see more nonbinary/genderfluid representation. Absolutely love you Scott
Bowie is perfect! Thank you Scott! As a gender fluid person myself, and someone who adores Bowie and Jareth, this is so cool and honestly means a lot. We need more artists, more people like you in the world
@@jigglypuff_foryoutube1700what mental illness?? The only reason why it became such a social problem is because people care too much about how other random people they never met in there life call themselves What does it matter if i call my self she/her or he/him or whatever, it doesn't affect you does it That being said yes i do believe people put way too much imoprtance into genders, in itself it only affects the way you look, it doesn't afdect your preferences, your characters or anything else and people start labeling each other simply based on their personalities artificially creating new genders or to be exact new gender roles, but that's a really complicated topic
When I tell you i almost burst out sobbing as a nonbinary person myself. It always means so much to have PAWsitive representation, and Bowie is a BEARY good name for them. Thank you for what you do
Me: the octobear is so wholesome, how could it get better? The artist: THEY ARE NON-BINARY/GENDER-FLUID Me: Amazing. Stunning. Perfect. (I’m non-binary)
As a young teen referring to myself as a non binary person, the representation makes me really happy! It’s great how you’re able to make people of any sexuality, race or gender feel comfortable and happy with your art! Thank you so much for the representation and diversity and I hope anyone who discovers you will feel nice and comfortable here too ❤❤
Thank you so so so so much Scott, for this. I am still trying to get comfortable using labels like gender fluid and non binary and people just casually saying it, like it’s not a big deal and that gender fluid people simply exist helps me so much. It’s little representation like this that makes it easier for diverse people to just live and be happy. Thank you for being a wonderful and open minded person! Know what you do really really helps ❤
Dude I’m actually tearing up I’m not genderfluid but one of my closest and most important friends is And the amount of hate that transgender people get in RU-vid comments is awful But what’s making me cry is that on this video I haven’t seen a single hateful content I don’t know what you’re doing to make your comment section so pure and accepting, but keep doing it
scott really has managed to curate a beautifully accepting comment section for such a hateful app. as a trans person myself, i’m so happy to see the acceptance both from scott and his comments.
As a gender fluid person i really appreciate the representation. Also it was so fun to watch the live today since it was the first one i could watch!! Keep up the great work!!
As a genderfluid person, this message made me so happy(I literally gasped). I love your style and have even inspired a couple of my pieces. Your videos lighten my day! Everyone have a lovely day/night!
Can you maybe try doing the next octobear paining with acrylics? I have some tips. You cant really water down acrylics. Instead try paint thinner. Also, you can layer but not too much. If you layer too much it would creat a bulky look. If you want it to be easier to blend, try blending it with a makeup brush. If you make the paint too thin, add a bit of cornstarch.Last thing, acrylic doesnt work on paper. So use a canvas. I hope this helps!
My cat that passed away a little over a year ago was named Bowie (after David Bowie, specifically Jareth from the labryth) so having you name this cute little bear Bowie is amazing ❤️ I love it. Thank you
:O YAYYYYY GENDER FLUID REPRESENTATION! IS ME! ❤❤❤ Also I LOVEEEE Labrynth! I had a suggestion of doing Percy Jackson, or a Greek God of some variety from any sort of movies revolving around it!
I think it would be fun to see him as Frankenstein's Monster. Thanks for doing what you do. Whenever I see your videos, they always make me laugh or smile. Keep doing what you're doing!
This is amazing. I had to show my enby teen and let them see that there are lots of people that are Gen-X (and older) that are accepting of all LGBTQIA+ folks. My kid tends to think that no one older than Millennials is accepting of non-binary gender identities. So I’ve been trying to find ways to show them that they’re wrong.
❤love it! To this day i get goosebumps when I think of the line at the very end... " Should you need us"...." YES! Should you....." ❤❤❤ A movie permanently afixed in my brain because I connected with it as a kid!! Ty 💞
I love how you have so many 80’s inspirations!! I grew up in the late 90’s/early 2000’s, so it’s great to learn about classic movies and music from the 80’s through your art!😊
Bowie is iconic. Please make merch of this little guy. I shared this with my kids because we need more representation out there. Thank you for your kindness.
It's a movie from the 1980's titled Labyrinth with David Bowie as the main villain. Some of the characters are designed by the same company that made Sesame Street. Do check it out😊
Thank you so much for sharing your art and videos. It's so much inspiring. I started painting again!!! And trying new styles! You're great! I love you so much
Ngl, when I saw the title I jumped out of my seat and did a victory lap around my block. I LOVED Labyrinth as a little kid and I'm so happy that you did Jareth! Also THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for keeping Bowie as genderfluid and having them use they/them pronouns, it means a lot to me as I don't see a lot of representation for genderfluid or nonbinary characters and having such a wonderfully supportive artist do this is really nice.
Im really happy you're keeping the bear nonbinary, I consider my bear nonbinary because(story time!) when I was little my mom gave my bear my favorite dress after I grew out of it and didn't want to throw it away but my mom always "talked" es the bear in the deepest voice. My being raised Christian I was confused "a boy can't wear dresses but a girl can't have a deep voice!" so my bear was neither. Bear got its name because I had such a trouble with names I didn't name ANY of my toys they were just called for example "miss Starbuck" - a teddy I got from Starbucks, "bear" - a teddy bear, "plumsti" - a dog that was always falling over (in German "plums" is a sound you make while falling)
I love how he hearted all the comments. Most RU-vidrs don’t even read their comments. This man is truly great ❤. PS I love your art and want to learn how to draw like you!
I think Paddington Bear would be really great. My family loves your videos and we have so many teddy bears, specially Paddington so it would be lovely to see as the next costume. Ps. Love the representation, great work!
@_ducks_ since trans refers to not identifying as your sex at birth, non binary fits under trans (but nb people don't have to call themselves trans if they don't want to ofc)
Thank you so much ❤❤❤ As someone who is having a gender identity crises (lol) I really love seeing my favourite RU-vidr showing sopport to people apart of lgbt+ community!!! It’s makes me happy so thank you ❤ Also thank you for sharing about yourself and who you are it makes me feel really seen because well for one I have autism too and it makes me happy when I see someone who I can relate to 🥰
Love it. October is definitely one of my favorite periods on this channel. Last year was really good too. ❤ Truly brings so much sweetness to the world. Really cheers me up. Hope this continues every October for many years to come. Because the world can always use more sweetness and love. 😊
I LOVE THIS!! This whole octobear series has been so cute so far, and as someone who’s non binary, this representation is so sweet and kind. What you said about always being able to use more representation touched my heart. Thank you for always being such a genuine and kind ally and person as a whole 💛💛
As someone who doesn’t quite know who they’ll be just yet, thank you for the representation of fluidity. It reminds me I don’t need to decide all that quickly, if at all. Thank you for being an amazing human, Scott. I appreciate your existence.
