Day 1 continued of the Mako Total Hip Replacement 

Day 1 continued-
First day home from the surgicenter- fresh post-op total hip replacement patient.
Hi from Nancy the NP- we set up a medication chart so I could keep track of everything. Make sure to bring a walker and a cane to the center, and have a pillow on the seat in the car when taking the person home to he/she is sitting higher up. He was given something to drink and some crackers and was required to urinate before leaving the facility.
It was good that Steve went to the gym and got lower body conditioning to ensure increased mobility. and strength/endurance to be able to get better quicker and without any complications.
