Day #1 Snapper Season - HUGE FISH (Galveston TX) 

Nice to see you guys catching fish. I fished for years offshore out of Freeport. Kingfish were always plentiful as were sharks. Soon learned Kings were fun to catch but not so good eating. We focused on amberjack, wahoo, tuna, Dorado, snapper, ling, and grouper....which are all great eating fish. Did catch a 55lb King drifting a bait off a rig which would have won the tournament had it not been over already..lol.. Also caught a nice sailfish only 9 miles off the beach. Miss offshore fishing...it's been 20 years since last time out.
