The Tour of the Ecrins National Park is also known as the GR54.
It is arguably the best trek in the Alps. It is an incredible walk of
193km (120 miles) around the incomparable Ecrins National
Park in the Southern French Alps. On the way, 14 magnificent
mountain passes are crossed. It is almost certainly the finest
trek that you have never heard of!

That was one stunning trail from start to finish, the scenery, just wow, and the food and the beers you get from those refuge’s must have been a great little pick me up when you were getting tired. Thanks a lot bud! Yeah was quite funny at the campsite and as you can tell not really planned but we were nonstop talking about it obviously and then thought we should try to capture our impressions as it might help some.

Thank you very much Garry! Aye it was/is quite an achievement for us and we are very happy that we finished it - not always easy but this makes it for us so special! Just another experience to add to our friendship 😊 Yeah the Stripey hat has now a function again in cold and wet Scotland 😂😂😂 (wouldn’t change it for a million!!!)
