Nepalis are one of the most courageous people i have ever met. There is extreme poverty but i rarely find any Nepali begging on the street. We need to learn a lot from Nepal on how to be happy with such limited materialistic things. Respect from India.

Well, I must say... this day scared me the most. All of that horrible weather, the visibility almost gone due to the snow cloud that was chasing you, the slippery snow-covered rocks. I was really nervous. Between yesterday and today... wow, scary. But, like always, you guys persevered like the champs you are.❤

I know this was five years ago but I have so enjoyed your Everest videos (really all of your videos). I have always thought people who hike up to the top of Everest as crazy brave but fascinating at the same time. But I had no idea you could just hike to base camp and not have any intention of going to the top. I have watched and read several stories but never imagined what it is was really like. Your videos not only showed how tough it is just to get to base camp but how awesome and beautiful it is too. Thanks for taking us along on all your adventures.

Hubby and I made a pact we are going to do it for our 25th Anniversary (4 years) Question: Was anyone crying, or puking or whining or any of that? I'm totally just curious. You get to pretty much set your own pace right? But you're motivated to be a champ.

I live in Colorado. I don't see you using hiking poles or micro spikes. I would never go on a winter hike without either and I couldn't go higher than 14,000 feet elevation (not that I'd try to hike up a 14ner in the winter). Also, a pass is considered a way between or around mountains that doesn't require going up to a summit or near a summit of a mountain. There are many high country passes in Colorado, for foot and vehicular traffic.
