Day 105 (Psalm 7, 27, 31, 34, 52) 

My husband & I are still here & still reading everyday. Life is a little scary these days but I have joy in the Lord. Things are starting to make a lot more sense, since the early days of starting the Bible recap. I am so thankful the Lord led me to the Bible Recap. We just love meeting up here with Tara Leigh. Hope everyone has a wonderful day & we will praise the Lord today & always because he's where the joy is. God bless. ❤

So much goodness in the Psalms. I loved camping out in them this morning. God is our Refuge; our Shield; He is God Most High; A Righteous Judge; our Light and Salvation; the Stronghold of our lives; our Savior; our Strong Fortress; He delivers us; He is good; He is attentive to our cries; He is close to us. I pray that my family and I would be like olive trees flourishing in the house of God; trusting in His unfailing love forever and ever; praising Him forever for what He has done; and hoping in His name for His name is good ( Psalm 52:8-9). 🙏🏽

Oh taste and see that the Lord is good! ❤

It feels so good to read our Bible everyday and listen to the Bible Recap afterwards! Today our Pastor mentioned a study psychiatrists did on how reading the Bible just 4 days of the week reduces anxiety, addictions and gives people peace, and more benefits. I have experienced this and more in these 105 days of reading the Bible. I’ve never before been able to get myself to read daily, but now it brings me peace and I truly enjoy it and look forward to reading the Bible. Thank you so much!! ❤

I love the Psalms! There is so much about God in these songs. They move me to tears. The God Most High is our Shield, a Righteous Judge, our Light and our Salvation, the Stronghold of our life, our Helper, our Savior, our Receiver, our Rock of Refuge, a Stronghold to save us, our Fortress, our Faithful God, our Preserver. His eyes are on the righteous; He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit; His love is unfailing and His name is good. 🙌🏽

❤❤❤ Good morning bible readers Just thanking God for who he is and what He has already done for His people and putting in me the desire to show up for reading His Word ❤❤

God protects us through worship. It’s “at His sanctuary” where we lift shouts of joy, “singing and praising Him with music” (Ps 27:6). It’s in His sanctuary that “He conceals me when troubles come” (Ps 27:5), and troubles do come, for “the righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue every time” (Ps 34:19). “He is close to the brokenhearted,” (Ps 34:18), and He provides protection like a rock (Ps 31:2, 19). “So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD” (Ps 31:24), because He protects us when we praise Him!

Reading the Bible has been so good for me! Connecting with God at the start of each day sets a beautiful tone. Even though there are some difficult reads, I am aware of him, and I feel closer to him💞🙏✝️

I love the way David tells himself the truth. We all can do this daily as we travel through this wicked world.

The songs that come from several of these verses are beautiful. We thank God for David's life and for the privilege of referring to them when we face similar circumstances in life...just like Jesus. 😊

This is the BEST way to read the Bible. I’m so thankful for this study. My relationship with God has changed me by really seeing God’s character through these stories. No more shame or guilt. He loves me. He truly loves me.

I was just at a wedding and a woman I was talking to for all of 2 minutes said she could see the light in me. Totally made my weekend!

God has used you to change my Bible reading. So thankful that after 66 years I am sticking with it. I've been in church all my life and read the Bible but this is holding me accountable!!

I am fixing my eyes on the Lord. Amen. I radiate health in You Jesus. Amen. I am healed. You are where the Joy is. Amen

Wow! Praise God for who He is! I love drawing closer to Him. Knowing how much he loves us and wants good for us and is always always there!

Seeking His face! (Ps. 27:9) What a treat having all Psalms on this Saturday. I love having them put into perspective and having David acting crazy in front of Ahimelech and David on the run and hiding in caves still fresh in my mind as I read these. We go deeper and deeper. 🙌💖

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. They looked unto him and were lightened and their faces were not ashamed. O taste and see that the LORD is good #HeIsWhereTheJoyIs

Psalm 27:8 reminded me of sunflowers and how they do what God is telling us to do. "You have said, Seek my face. My heart says to , your face, Lord , do I seek. Helen Keller quoted, "Keep your face to the sunshine, and you cannot see the shadow. It's what sunflowers do."

We can pray confidently because of who God is. It's always about Him.

Psalm 52:8-9 - But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love. I will praise You forever, O God, for what You have done. I will trust in Your good name in the presence of Your faithful people. This is my God shot for today and my truth forever!

Lord forgive and help me with my trust issues.

God spoke to me in this verse “But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭52‬:‭8‬

Oh gosh Tara Leigh! You are such a tool in helping me fix my eyes on him! I love your God shot today!!

🗓️✅⤵️ My understanding is growing about anger vs love of God, especially when I consider my own debaucherous and indulgent past. God relents more than He punishes because HE IS HE IS LOVE. ❤

“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.” This from Psalm 27:4 is what sticks with me today. Since David is referring to the tent of meeting, the dwelling place of God, we today because of the sacrifice of Jesus now have God living in us. We are that temple and can seek him every moment of every day. Then in 13, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” When I do seek the Lord, I do see His goodness all around me.

I did show up in a crazy time in our life. Here to find the joy. Thank you TLC. First time for me to commit to reading and following through the Bible everyday. He is where the joy is.

I am so excited for this today Psalms they just give me so much knowledge of what a lucky person I am to love the Lord and know that he loves me.

I started my recap in November 2024 so I am a little ahead of the new year, but I have to say I LOVE when the Psalms are mixed in with the books. It really helps you understand where the Psalms are coming from vs. reading them alone. Thank you.

Psalm:27. My favorite

Why oh why do we let fear overshadow the goodness of God? Even for moments? But I sure do. I’m glad God is patiently calling me back when my faith is shaky. It’s oddly comforting to know that David - a man after God’s own heart- struggles just like me.

Thankyou for the radiance and beauty of today's psalms. So empowering!! The sun has come out for a day after reading of all the warring and the tempestuous challenges in Judges and Samuel. Such faith, hope and light❤

I do feel like I’m carrying a new hope and light after reading the Bible for 105 days! I don’t think I’ve consistently done this in my 45 years!

God is the judge over all. "God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation every day" (Psalm 7:11). He is my light in the darkness, my strength, and my salvation. "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1). He is good at all times. "Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind!" (Psalm 31:19). He is always near, even in my brokenness. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18). His steadfast love endures forever. "The steadfast love of God endures all the day" (Psalm 52:1b). We have hope now, but we also have a future hope in glory that is so encouraging. God is with us now, but one day, we will be in the presence of the Lord. "One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple" (Psalm 27:4 ). We can wait with great expectancy because one day we will be with Him in eternity. "I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!" (27: 13-14). We have this hope because of Jesus Christ. Amazing what David wrote in 31: 5a that Jesus would say as He laid His life down on the cross, "Into your hand I commit my spirit;" WOW! We can rest assured that since we've committed ourselves to God, He will keep us now! God is a redeemer. "The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned" (Psalm 34:22). Evil won't last always. "But God will break you down forever; he will snatch and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living" (Psalm 52:5). Praise the Lord! He's where the joy is!

Amen! Yes looking to our Lord is our hope! Praise the Lord He carries us! 🙌✝️

I love 34:5, that we are radiant and will have no shame. “Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭34‬:‭5‬ ‭ESV‬‬ So spread the gospel so that others can have the radiance too and not be condemned. What a better world, if all were radiant in His image. Thank you Jesus. “The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭34‬:‭22‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I am so enjoying Bible Recap. This is my first year as well.

There was a song by Harvest called One Thing I Ask put out in 1984 that I still remember being so powerful and speaking straight to my heart at that time. I was 14 years old, did not KNOW the Lord yet but this song based on Psalms 27 brings me to tears every time I listen to it. May we all seek to live in the house of the Lord all our days. My God shot was in Psalm 31:1-2. He’s our refuge in the time of trouble! 🙌🏾 Learning more about who God is for myself has really made me understand and trust Him more. I told my fiancé if God made the philistines fight themselves for Israel then I know He can win any battle we face if we stand still, obey, and trust Him.

Yes, life now has been crazy and stressed and yet God reminds me through each of these days of reading. He is with me, He is where the joy is.

Life is beyond chaos. So so many major deals…and this reading plan and study--along with Kanoe from NotesandHues….this space in my day is all that’s keeping my feed from slipping into the chaos… But thru the time with you guys and God’s Word-- I KNOW….the chaos is NOT outside the sovereignty of God!!!!

I have heard it said that the closer you get to God, the more the devil attacks you. I am finding this true. My 7 year old niece has brain cancer (Feb 2) and my mom passed away unexpectedly on April 5th. Many people in my life are losing loved ones. Through it all, I am here every morning reading God's Word. I will draw myself closer to Him everyday. The devil cannot have me.

I look at Him every day but don't feel very radiant 😫

I’m trying to get a house against all odds but God’s given me peace and encouragement to keep packing. I saw a house in my budget but somethings and I let fear let it slip away. I felt lead to another house not in my budget and my realtor pointed this out and I said I Just Wanna go inside in faith - some words from her - new realtor - I’m sceduled to see if if still available mon -if this house God will provide a way - I just can’t let doubt and fear keep getting in the way as I keep reading - in the Word.

The main takeaway from the psalms is trusting God at all times and knowing that He has a plan for our lives.

I am catching up from missing a couple of days. I started in February and I’ve never gone thought the whole Bible, I’m excited to.

I cannot wait for my daily lessons! The Bible Recap has given me a passion for the word again. I had become jaded over the years and the Word was duty and mostly head knowledge. Now I'm retired it's like I've started a new adventure discovering nuggets I never understood or saw before! Thank you

David grieved that he felt he caused the death of the household of Ahimelech. But this was the fulfillment of a prophecy given to Eli the priest because of the sins of his sons. My God shot is that the Lord accomplishes his purposes even through the failures and sins of people.

I feel a bit lost in psalms bc I ha e never read it . I was trying to get a grasp on it and see God shot. Anyone else's first time ??

This year I'm reading a Bible commentary along with the Recap. It titles Ps. 27 as "The Arrest and Trial of Jesus" and says we can "think of it as expressing our Lord's innermost thoughts during those fateful hours immediately preceding Calvary." It then goes verse by verse an parallels. It titles Ps. 31 "Into Thy Hand" and says "it has a definite association with the suffering, dying Lamb of God" alternating "back and forth between suffering and resurrection." I'm not sure what to make of this. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I have had my share of trouble and trials this past year, but thank you God for letting me find this Bible plan and giving me the desire to stick with it. TLC this has helped me get to know the heart of God and trust Him more despite the trials. I am leaning into Him and finding more joy - HE IS WHERE THE JOY IS!!
