At age 36 I decided to learn to play the piano, so 2 weeks ago I bought one (Roland FP-10). Here's my progress so far. The hardest thing for me is hand independence. My brain says something, and my hand ignores it. I hope to post more in the future.
I have some music knowledge as I had violin lessons when I was a kid (age 7-10). I gave that up at age 10, then at 19 I taught myself to play guitar (reading guitar tabs, not actual sheet music). Now at 36 I want to learn Piano. I had some extremely basic knowledge as I've watched a lot of RU-vid videos, and growing up in music class we'd get a chance to play on the pianos, but we never properly learned anything that I remember. Playing guitar has probably helped with finger movements but it's still difficult, and I suck so badly, but it's only been 2 weeks, so it's still very early days.
Hopefully I can post more in the future, and if you have any questions let me know! Thanks for reading.
