Day 2 Kissimmee Chain - My LAST TOURNAMENT With The NPFL

John , 12 days until Okeechobee , I know you can hardly wait . This tournament is just like all the others you have done well in . When competing in golf at a very high level a sport psychologist once gave me some good advice . Put the pressure on your preparation and not the days of competition . Everything in your life has prepared you for this opportunity and I am sure you will succeed . One other thing , never forget to embrace and enjoy the moment . Kick ass and take names . lol

In regards to the schooling fish.. I recently got live scope a a few months ago and have learned alot. The schools of fish I were on in my local lake were only 30-50 fish but every fish I caught that was bigger were on the bottom of the school. They were actively feeding on a huge ball of thread fins and I threw a jerbait, swim bait, top water.. everything I had tied on. I caught most of my fish on a swim bait with an under spin 1/8 ounce in about 8ft of water.. caught alot of 14 -15 inchers. Once I switched to a bigger jig head, a half ounce I started catching the big ones. Slow rolling the swim bait about a ft off the bottom... worked well for me thought I'd share... FL boy lol

Down south we call those "pike" chain pickerel. My grand dad called them jackfish. If he caught them, they did not survive. He said the turtles gotta eat, too! See you at Lake Murray in April!

They had a 32 pound sack Friday weighed in by Dakota ebare on the Toyota series , and Saturday a local tournament trail had a 41 pound sack weighed in both off Sam Rayburn

Yeah I don't like those fresh water sharks ( pike) 🤣 but I personally would've used braid so I wouldn't have to worry much about breaking off because of those freshwater sharks.

Waving competitor in says a lot, I know you say well maybe he had a way to catch some bigger ones but still says a lot, “catch more fish” when you lose one is a great mindset … thanks

Watching you loose the bigger fish, I am thinking you either need better line or a hook sharpener.
