Great to see you on Camino again Sara. Took your planned route to SdeC via Salvador/Primitivo myself in 2017 and loved it all. I'm in catchup mode with your vids at the moment so looking forward to seeing how it goes for you. All the best and Buen Camino!
Nice to see you closer to home again, (my home that is) Was pleasantly surprised to hear the names Ray y Rosa. Admin on the camino del Baztan facebook group I’m a member of.
Hey Sara! I love your videos and thank you for all this amazing info on the Camino! I am planning on doing my first Camino starting in Madrid in the next week and cant seem to find a backpack transfer service or luggage shuttle from anywhere along the Madrid to valladolid route. Do you have any information on it? Or what other possibilities do I have would I need to pay for a taxi? Thanks, Sara
Glad your doing a different path I’m following homemade wanderlust Dixie doing the French way and your doing a different trail. So I should see a lot of Spain between both your posts. Looking forward to you finishing the cdt next year
Love seeing the Camino again! How much research did you do for this one, did you know it would have very few people, and are you good with the solitude? I think you've mentioned in the past that the solitude is fine...just wondering now. Really enjoying Spain again!
Hiya!!!! I did no research before other than where I was going to sleep for the first three nights. I like to keep things a surprise! The beauty of the Camino is that you can just walk and go! I have GPS tracks on my phone in case I get lost. And I thought there would be more hikers. I have only seen one so far- and I’m not even sure he was walking the Camino! A huge bonus is having the Albergues to myself- private accommodations! It also feels more special in the villages because the locals don’t see many outsiders passing through. Plus good wifi most places so I can stay connected to my friends and family if I wish!
I apparently missed why you took the train back to Madrid the 1st night and then returned to the second town , maybe my mine was on the little drummer boy from the previous video. Now you probably don't want to exchange the hip belts out since they are now purple .
If the purple straps with my crap sewing job hold out, I’m keeping ‘em!!! (Although I may be getting a new pack at Christmas 😉) Tres Cantos’ Albergue is temporarily closed, and all the hotels there are super expensive. Much cheaper to take the train back to a Madrid.
