2024 Swan Bonifacio Challenge - Day 3 Update
Due to strong winds exceeding 30 knots, the race committee has cancelled today's racing for safety reasons. "Safety is our top priority," said "With the current conditions, it is best to keep the fleet in the harbour today."
Last night, we enjoyed the Lady Ghada Sunset Party, which went long into the night, providing a fantastic opportunity for sailors to unwind and socialize.
Let’s take a look back at the exciting racing from the past few days. In the ClubSwan 36 class, CUORDILEONE, helmed by Edoardo Ferragamo, is leading with 9 points, followed closely by G SPOT, skippered by Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio, with 10 points. BLACK BATTALION, led by the Black Battalion team, holds third place with 16 points.
In the ClubSwan 50 class, HATARI, skippered by Marcus Brennecke, tops the leaderboard with 11 points. CUORDILEONE, skippered by Leonardo Ferragamo, is in second with 16 points, and EARLYBIRD, helmed by Hendrik Brandis, is in third with 20 points.
As we look ahead to the final day of racing on Saturday, we expect winds of 17 to 25 knots. The race committee will start an hour and a half earlier than planned, with the first warning signal at 10:30 AM. We anticipate three thrilling races to wrap up the Swan Bonifacio Challenge.
