Hi Steve, have watched the short version on here, nice work and keep it up, I have not compled any in water courses with you as yet, had issues and finances to sort, it has taken some time but I am nearly there now. That said your vidios have kept me going through the bad times and practiced your very detialed teachings, I was in Turkey diving recently, cold water and low vis, just like at home in capenway lol, however, I was the only English speaking person on the boat apart from the guides, save one person from another dive agency or some reason they hate Paddy, but of a generalisation if you ask me. so halfway through the dive, this person slowed up, he was my buddy so turned to face and and back finned for 10 minutes and then helicoptered round on the spot and carried on with the dive. once on the boat he asked me whey I was finning backward as he said he could not do that, I said because I can, don't judge a person by the people he trains with, thanks for sharing your skills on your site, I look forward to been trained by you as I must have some bad habbits ?
First time I came back from the Karwela we transited to shore on a compass bearing with a gentle ascent from 30 to 10 metres. At 10m on a dull day there were effectively no visual references; you couldn't see the bottom, anything around or indeed the surface. It was very hard to get over the eyes seeing things that weren't there and concentrate on the sensations and info that could be trusted. I felt very task loaded so we just stopped, gradually came up to 3 metres where the surface was obvious, and swam in from there.
I know how you feel, the blue can be quite confusing on the senses, I need to practice using the kit I have, dive computer and depth guage and focusing on that as did and will be doing dives in the blue in Egypt.
