Started at 5:30 and made it up Seldon Pass relatively easy. It was mostly snow free until the last 2 miles. In this video you’ll see post-holing to our thighs! And our first campfire! Mile 857.3-873.0 (16 miles)
I'm so glad you and RR are still with us and ok. That's freaking scary as all hell knowing you could have been swept away. And that freaking fast moving freaking water crossing was just flat ass scary. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. 😊! Becareful, be safe and again be damn careful out there!!! - Shybee
That crossing. It does look fast on the video. , glad all is safe., love RR-!”And people hold your horses!, “ we are under 10k feet, rocks, river, permit. 😊..So don’t preach about how things should be done from your couch. (I’m on my couch watching this video)
I vote for you to finish the hike with your tramily 🗳️. Work will be there too, someone will argue that the mountains and trails will be there too. But the energy in your tramily will not be found again. You will just find another tramily. 😊
I look forward to when the dangerous river crossings are behind you. I hope your trip off-trail was fun. We will miss you and look forward to your return.
You made a bad decision. Both in crossing in the afternoon and also crossing where the trail fords. You should have waited for early morning and use that afternoon to explore upstream crossing point.
