Fr. Mike emphasizes that God did not have to do anything for us after the Fall, yet he sent us his only Son, and through his Son, we have received grace upon grace. We learn that the transmission of the Christian faith consists of proclaiming Jesus Christ to lead others to faith in him. If we are called to teach him, we must first have a relationship with him. Just as the Apostles burned with a desire to spread the Good News, we too are called to catechize and deliver the word of Christ as his spokesmen on Earth. Today’s readings are Catechism paragraphs 422-429.

The catechism is so beautiful and rich. Also, it’s so lovely that Fr. Mike says “I cannot wait to see you tomorrow” after each day. He doesn’t have to say that, but it’s very encouraging and, in a small way, it’s like an invitation from the Lord himself. May God bless you all 🙏🏻

This Catechism in a year podcast has opened my eyes to many questions and unknowns about my faith. I especially like how Father Mike explains things. I feel i have grown closer to God and getting stronger in my faith. Praying & Thanking Fr. Mike & CIY 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you everyone who prayed for my brother. He will not have to have brain surgery, but it will take 3months for the brain to heal and he has to be supper careful not to jerk the head. He still has the drainage tube in the spaced between the heart & the lung. His 3 broken ribs will take 2months to heal. On 02/29/24 he will be moved to a private room for further recovery. I think all your prayers made a big difference as it was touch and go for brain surgery for over 2days. Thanks again! This group's prayers are powerful.❤❤❤

Answering Father Mike’s question of, “how it is going with the CIY?” From my opinion only… it’s a toughie!! Listening to the STORY in the BIY was an easy task. I enjoyed the stories that make up the STORY of Christ and how every part of His life fulfilled the questions of the Old Testament. I am having a much harder time “getting into” the CIY, but I keep “hitting” play and following along. I know God is planting seeds in my heart and I’m just waiting for them to flower!

GREAT PRAYER Father! You really set the table for the catechist. I have the pleasure to do volunteer work at a local prison and I get to share the Good News with a wonderful group of fellas AND to demonstrate the Good News to the guards by way of personal thanks to God by simply being polite, thankful for their help and open to their instruction. I felt myself lacking so much of Jesus in my life as the gospel seemed to lie on deaf ears. I cried out to God how can I be more Christ like? The answer I received is the world is more Jesus to us than we can be Christ to the world. These weren't foreign words because it was something my late wife said often. She is the one who brought me to Catholicism and her prayers for me must be still guiding me. When we do the corporal works of mercy to others we do it as unto Jesus. So then we must strive to see Jesus in everyone we meet and treat them as such. When we do this it will open us up to share the gospel more readily without intimidation or trepidation because actions speak louder than words but words bring about change though we may have to have the 3 "P's" patience, perseverance and persistence of St Monica, St Augustine's mother who prayed unceasingly for her son's conversion. Ecce homo who Augustine became to the Church.

Day 60..! I SO need this today..! I NEED someone who is as UP, today, as I usually am, every day..! ❤❤ I need to ‘HEAR’ you smile..!! 😍 I LOVE life… I LOVE God… I LOVE Fr. We also should thank God for one of our most cherished popes, John Paul ll . He did so much to advance our understanding of the faith in a way that is relatable to the general public. Many thoughts in our catechism is due to his efforts. Also the luminous mysteries of the rosary and the scriptural Way of the Cross which I just read for the first time a few days ago. The timing of his life and pontificate were perfectly chosen by God.

It seems like in this day and time there are too many Church "leaders", who are trying to be God's editors and not God's mailmen. They have their personal version of who God, the Father and Jesus, the Son, is and how we are being called to live. They also have their own "truth". There is no "your truth" or "my truth". There is only "the truth", which is Jesus Christ! I pray more people would take the time and start looking into the goings on inside the Church. There are those, who want to ignore the written Word of God and ignore Church teachings, which are over a millennia old, to offer their own interpretations of Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. They must be called out at every opportunity. These same "leaders" persecute good bishops and priests, who are orthodox and refuse to accept the worldly view of Christianity. God bless! Vivat Jesus!

Day 60 takeaways: The reality of Jesus is well-rooted and documented in History. This Jesus is the eternal Son of God made man. God doesn’t have to forgive us, but He chooses to. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We are called to preach and teach this “ Good News”, but we must know Christ and have Him in our hearts first. When we speak of Christ, it is He who speaks through us. We are not God’s editors, we are God’s mailmen. Let me gently and lovingly, but boldly and powerfully share the message of who Jesus Christ is.

What happened to the prophets, Abraham, Elijah, Moses, etc who never got a chance to see the New Testament. Please read John 21:25. Put the Bible in proper perspective🙏

John 6:40. "For this is the will of My Father: that everyone who BEHOLDS the Son, and believes in Him, may have eternal life...." How can protestants "behold" (i.e., look at) the Son, if they don't have Jesus in the Holy Eucharist? John 3:5 "Unless one is BORN OF WATER And the HOLY SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God." James 2:24 "You see that a man is justified by works, and NOT BY FAITH ALONE." Luther forbade the publication of the Epistle of St. James from his edition of the German Bible because James explicitly denies Luther's made-up, false doctrine of "salvation by faith alone." Deuteronomy 4:2 says "You shall not add to the Word of God, nor take away from it." But Luther threw away 7 books and parts of others from the Septuagint Bible Jesus used. So protestants can't interpret Scripture correctly, because they don't have a complete Bible. Psalm 119:160 says, "The sum of Thy Word is Truth." Not isolated verses taken out of context. YES!!! I do burn with the desire to tell others about our MAGNIFICENT LORD!!! And, we can all see & hear that Fr. Mike has that desire!!! It IS exciting!!! I do pray for all of you out there hearing this. I pray that EVERYONE will burn with this desire!!! We have to, we must let EVERYONE KNOW HOW GREAT GOD IS!!!

Hi Peggy- you sound like the lady at the well in The Chosen. When she encounters Jesus, she declares that she is going to tell EVERYONE about him and He responds, “I was counting on that!”🙏😊
