I have a spiderweb story - I was a game ranger/safari guide in South Africa. One reserve that I worked on had lots of roads close to rivers - they were small and narrow and were the best place for Golden Orb Web Spiders to weave their beautiful* huge webs across the roads at night. My tracker would always stop me before we entered such roads, so that he could pick a branch of a Guarry Bush - this was his swatter... lol Needless to say he missed one once and a giant female spider landed on the chest of a guest sitting on the back of the vehicle... she was an arachnophobe.... this of course led to a few hysterical moments in the middle of an elephant herd sighting... *go to Africa they said...* (*I say beautiful as they would spin golden silk strands and it always looks so beautiful in the early morning sunlight!)
