Fr. Mike begins his examination of the Paschal Mystery of Christ’s passion, death, and ultimate Resurrection. He emphasizes that all of Scripture points to this Paschal Mystery, and that through our faith, we can try to examine the circumstances of Jesus’ life to fully understand our own redemption. We also explore Jesus’ relationship with Israel and our own relationship with our Jewish forefathers. Today’s readings are Catechism paragraphs 571-576.

Thank u Father Mike. I’m amazed at how God continues blessing Jews and Christians even in this modern day. My father was Jewish and chose with my Lutheran mother to have our family be baptized into the Catholic Church. My dna is 50% Jewish, and the covenant to the Jewish descendants is everlasting and fulfilled in Jesus Christ,,,,,alleluia!

Before hearing today's podcast, I always had a notion that somehow God is punishing the Jews for rejecting Jesus. Today, your words opened my mind that not all of them reject Jesus as God. Your daily chatecism journey is miraculous. I look forward to it every morning. This study makes my heart soar like an eagle. I now know why the hearts of the disciples on the journey to Emmaus were burning as the scriptures were opened to them as you are doing for us. They needed the Lord. We needed you. God bless you Fr. Mike. You are schooling the remnant for the dark days ahead. As a mother hen gathers her chicks, you are giving us food for the journey. Never have I heard the scriptures come alive in talks until you came into my life with the Bible in a year last year and the Catechism in a year starting on January 1, 2023 this year.

Please pray for the holy Souls in Purgatory, they need our prayers. The Marian Press podcast has St Faustina's Diary in a year. Fr Roesch reads and reflects on her diary. 8-9 minutes a day. What a beautiful gift. Today we have 18 days of prayer, fasting and almsgiving, make them count. 3/22/2023

I worked for a Jewish institution decades ago & became immersed in all their fruitful traditions. I shared those traditions at my Italian Catholic Christmas gatherings & they happily incorporated them into their newly blended mix of traditions! Oh what joyous fun we had celebrating both Christmas & Hanukkah!🎄 🕎 I feel very blessed to have learned early on that rich & deep source of our Jewish culture. Shalom. ✡️✝️

All that matters about the ancient faith is in Catholicism. Modern Judaism is a faith created post 70AD as a rejection of Christ.

Neither is it your fault that there very few that are saying what I'm saying, that there is an important gap between the one true faith and modern Judaism. But it's hard when you understand there is a gap between us that matters and that we don't always get to pick and choose. God bless.

I enjoyed spending time in a Jewish synagogue to listen to them read the Old Testament with such passion. It really helped me to appreciate the link between the Jews and Christ and Christians and, no less, the One Holy Catholic, and Apostolic Church of which we are connected sacramentally and apostolically and share the joy of learning about this through the blessing of Father Mike! Quietly spending time with the Jews - with whom I would not normally spend time - helped me appreciate them as a people and our spiritual predecessors. It's an experience that can't be learned from a book. God willing, I should do that again. Before I forget, for those who pass by my comment, let's be sure to reciprocate Father Mike's prayer for us by praying for him.

You can't spend time in a modern synagogue and find Jesus. Modern Jews are not ancient Jews. The only place you will hear the Old Testament read properly is at Mass.

I am starting to come to terms with the Spiritual Blessing of the Paschal Mystery which places the Soul in the foreground of life and that's Jesus' mission - keep this material lie in it's proper place and context - it is 2ND best to the life of the soul. We share in Christ's mission in as much as we are willing to give primacy to the life of the soul and let that lead us forward in our daily - even moment by moment - activity. It is VERY hard after 65+ years of thinking that I've been in control and then viewing the failures of my control!

In entering into our world, our humanity, Jesus knew that it would culminate in the Paschal Mystery, His passion, death and resurrection. Love beyond understanding. He came to rescue us all, but would have done it, if it was just me. Come Holy Spirit, fill me with the grace to have that same love. Give me that strength and courage. During lock downs I saw a Jewish Rabbi being arrested for having a gathering after a religious ceremony. He looked at the camera with heart break, like how is this happening. Then I saw another rabbi being arrested for cutting the locks off a park for the children. I had very little faith at the time myself and I saw them and wondered where are the Christians. If the Christians are not willing to fight for the freedom to worship their God they are not willing to fight for the freedom for anything. I started going to a baptist church to preserve my freedom. Lol now I’m here, dear Lord thank you for the leadership of the Jews.

Learning more about God, He absolutely does as He says. I'm learning to trust Him so much more that I turn over the routine of my day to Him more readily as it always turns out better than I have planned anyway. I used to get stressed and upset when things didn't go as planned but time after time God has shown me that I need to follow as He guides. I'm learning to be more obedient even when I do not know what and how anything will turn out. Sometimes, part or all I had planned I get through and more besides. Ah God is so great, wonderful and has a real good sense of humour. I am blessed to be numbered among His children. I pray for you all sisters and brothers and Fr Mike and Ascension Team that we all keep loving God, praising Him and serving as He served. I love you all and God bless us all. Have a good night ❤🙏🕊

Christ has been revealing Himself to our older brothers and sisters, the Jewish people. There are more Messianic Jews following the Lord. I love watching their videos. I love the Jewish people and at this point of time we need to pray alot for them and for Jerusalem 🙏🏻
