Thought it was fun that "Reus" in dutch means "Giant" and when I looked up the company it's located in the city where I live in the Netherlands. Looks cute!

Reus 2 is such a good example of taking out the bad things from a previous game without taking the spirit out of it. It is so much calmer, which fits the vibe of the game, I don't feel like I'm missing stuff from the previous game. I'm happy I bought this game

You should checkout the boardgame Spirit Island if you love the god/elemental stuff. It's a super good brain-burny game where you kick colonists off an island. You play as these awesome spirits with huge asymmetry. There is a Steam version of the game. I think you might dig it. It is one of my all-time favorite games.

People not trying recommended great games for literal decades is something I can painfully relate to. I hope you finally playing this is a good sign and will spread. The game looks like something I would love. Got to give it a try in no more than 10 years. :D

its infuriating how little actual attention he has in the first hour and not understanding the simplest mechanics - but bioticum down in border and attached city gets those ressources, how was that so complicated to get

Reus 1 was not a really good game. Mediocre at best.
