I didn't go to prom for either my junior or senior year of high school because I saw how much money one of my older brothers had to spend on it. So for my junior year in 2010 I just played League of Legends all night, and then for my senior prom in 2011 I played Mount and Blade: Warband. It was fun.
This video was very vindicating to watch. I just want to play a card game sometimes; I don’t need endless popups before and after each game to notify me about some nonsense progression bar on a “season journey” I couldn’t care less about.
I still remember the videos of the 4v4 in SC2, with you, Destiny, Katz or whoever else was in there. "Hang on i just gotta vacuum real quick" Fkin classic. Good days
This feels like a Non-Issue... You dont need the pack names to crack packs you already own, and the whole 'i want to get a specific card' thing feels like its something you do AFTER youve cracked your owned packs, meaning youd have no need to know the name until it was time to crack. Like it gets wanting to have information easily, but it feels like an insistence on unnecessary information in locations for the sake of that. If there were SOMETHING else to do with owned packs it'd understand, but there just... Isnt.
I have more hours in WoW than he have in SC xD my main that is MONK that came in MoP have nearly 2years of playtime (17k+ hours). And its one of 14 of my characters that i play around... on my 3rd account that i had throu years.
1:26:00 I've watched a video from Dr. K on how to overcome burnout. He said the main reason we feel it is because we engaje on a job that we didn't want part in, so you should do things you like to counterbalance exhaustion on the brain. I actually tried to do it. Whenever I was burnt out of my mind, I played some guitar for an hour, not to procrastinate, but because is something I like to do very much. The next day I was problem solving like a mad lad. Hope better days are coming! Also porcupottamus.
I both do and do not understand spoiling. I understand that people dont want to get outside information, but I dont understand how exactly that "spoils" anything. Its not like youre actually discovering something new and never seen before. Its a deliberately designed area, placed there by the developers, intended to be found, explored and played, and it has been played by just about everyone who got that far into the game. A real spoiler would be someone telling Columbus that where he would end up is not India but a completely different continent. Telling "your suspicions are correct, there is a hidden passage there" doesnt actually spoil anything. Not justifying it, clearly he didnt want to know so people shouldnt have said it, but seems like overreacting quite a bit. Thousands of people watching him play are literally "spoiling" the entire game. Would we rather no one watch it so that no one gets "spoiled"? Doesnt make sense. Most people dont care since it doesnt detract from their own experience at all, and quite frankly - I dont see how it could. Unless you are obsessively invested in a media and take it far too seriously. To me its like someone saying "This rollercoaster does a 360 at 40mph and then two fast loops".. Awww man, now I know and it wont be fun! Or "Be careful, sir, the soup is hot" Awww, shucks, now you spoiled it for me and I wont find it out myself. Like, really, how does that detract from your own experience?
>Its not like you're actually discovering something new and never seen before You don't understand how being told about the end result of an experience spoils the experience? It's new and never seen before FOR EACH PERSON. When you're told about it then you're no longer experiencing it how the developer/creators intended you to experience it, you're experiencing it with a caveat - you already knew it was happening. If I tell you the ending of a book or a movie I'm not telling you something truly new or never seen before, but now if you choose to read that book or watch that movie you'll know exactly how it ends which spoils any sense of intrigue. Or if I tell you there's a huge twist near the end then you're always waiting and expecting the twist, you don't get to find it on your own and experience the emotion of the twist on your own. It ruins all sense of personal discovery and accomplishment. >Thousands of people watching him play are literally "spoiling" the entire game. They made the choice to watch him play it, he did not choose to have it spoiled for him as he plays it. >Most people dont care since it doesnt detract from their own experience at all, and quite frankly - I dont see how it could He obviously DOES care, and if you don't see how it could then that's your own issue and not something you get to push onto others. Both of your examples are intentionally not equivalent to the experience of consuming media. Bad faith argument. Soup is not intended to be consumed when hot enough to burn you, and rollercoasters are viewed as an entire thing before you agree to ride them.
Hello again sir, thank you again for entertaining my stoned friends with weird math that they can understand thanks to your humor and great explanation
1:08:20 That's my cue lol- I'm a Masaage Therapist in the Hollywood area and I've been practicing for 8 years currently Ig you need a session brother hmu
16:11 Previously in se7en While chasing for the killer, Mills has no idea Rachel’s been missing And looks like Mills will be getting a mystery box!!! So in today’s episode we will be finding out what”s in the box?
No, I think you underestimate how absolutely lost people get in the mmo hole. And a few never really get out, so a strong commitment to a raid guild of around 2000 hours a year becomes a their life, these numbers can double, depending on how bad the case is tripple. For medium term of 5 to 10 years I would go with double, so 4000 hours a year over a period of 10 years for a game that has existed for nearly 20 years now is - unfortunatley - a thing that happens sometimes. I wish it was just testatment to how great and fun of a game it is, but unless we are talking rare cases of content creator success, the stories are rarely this positive.
Sean sounds like he’s describing himself as a boss as Adan, thief of fire in the Malefactor’s Evergaol. He’ll do a really cool fireball spell if you just don’t hit home for 10-15 seconds, thanks.
Hey Sean. Thanks for all your amazing streams and insightful industry commentary. Recent W2 campaigns were a blast (from the past) 😅 Sorry for the bother!
Chat shut up for two seconds challenge: Impossible He already felt there had to be more to it he would have gotten back to it eventually, or not at all and that would have been fine.
i've seen some games or at least sub systems still using this kind of movement, i think it does have a place but it's just not for me most of the time lol
Sean: you and Nick both helped me beat cancer. That may sound crazy, but it's true. It helped me clear my mind, focus on something other than fear, gain confidence by getting pretty damn good at something AND it helped me regain my coordination and thought organization after multiple brain surgeries. Love you man, truly. I got to thank Mike Moreim and Zombie Grub in person; it would be my honor to get that same chance with the Plotz bros some day 😊 Thank you, you're awesome, you're as badass as a Husky song about 6 pooling. ❤
At 2:49:30 Day9 says something similar to what Mark Rosewater often says. That there is no greater risk to take in Magic than not taking anymore risks.
WoW counted your playing time for you. No need to guess. I only played when wotlk and cata were the current ad ons an i reached 2years of playing time. 20 hours a weak is nothing.
There's definitely people that have more hours in WoW than he does in Starcraft. There's people out there that have been playing 10+ hours a day since OG WoW came out in 2004. Let that shit sink in
@@BooshyBrows I know personally several players well over the 30k hours mark, it's not that uncommon in a game that's been around for literally 20 years.
@@BooshyBrows I mean I played the game for a long time and knew some people like that. I don't know why that's so hard to believe, it's an extremely addictive game and millions of people have played it, there's always going to be some % of people that have 0 self control with very addictive things. Sorry that I don't have the exact fully-researched and published stat on how many of these people there are, lol. I have truly let you down, random youtube commenter
