There are very few vlogs that you just don’t want to end. This is one of them. Wonderful series. Irrepressible good humour and optimism from these two. Will look forward to whatever you get up to next.

@@Off.Day.Adventures, well done the pair of you , besides the odd blister and skin rubbing off things were excellent and to top it off a pint was waiting at the end of the day. In your last video you mention returning but after doing some local walks ( hope your cider drinking hasn't spoilt you 😂 ) , don't forget when you do a walk over here you keep the " right to walk " paths open You say you have had lots of suggestions already for next time , can I add the " Coast to Coast " , it starts in Cumbria and ends in Northumberland ( either way is done ) along Hadrian's Wall ( sadly idiots have cut down the Pine Tree ) and is only 75 miles 😂 but you can have a break any time like for instance the " Lake District " with it's rolling hills and excellent booze etc . Along it you will see some odd carving in the wall indicating " Play Area " 😂 and the wall not hugely tall but it is nearly 2,000 years old but you'll see lots of dry stone walls in fields , solid barns , farm housing and even a small town / village called Wall all of which are built in stone and looking very familiar 😂😂 . Well done the pair of you and rest up before the next one and do your excellent research ( remember that the UK has very little thinks that bites you 😂 )

Just to say well done to you both - a really enjoyable watch from start to finish; Rach is honestly a trooper to walk on blisters since day 2, and you both to walk in the heat for those distances is no mean feat. Like every person said to you - you lucked in with the weather; but as a seasoned hiker myself, I know hiking at distance in full sun is no joke. I also loved that invariably your answer to all the challenges you faced was a pub stop and beer/cider - it was refreshing to see you embracing British culture to the point where it seemed totally natural to you to do so. Well done again, and enjoy your thirties 😊

Bath is a great place to have finished your journey ( we are lucky enough to have a daughter studying at university there), so get to visit on many occasions. Hopefully your vlogs have reminded all us Brits on just how stunning our country is, and convinced all of us to get out and about. Looking forward to further trips by the two of you. Might we suggest something like Yorkshire next time - it is not known as God's own country for nothing (and that is from a Sothern Softie!!).

Next year you need to do the Three peaks in Yorkshire, 24 miles in one day, you start at a cafe/gift shop that has a old style clocking on machine for workers to record your start and finish time, when I did it I did it I was 45 years old and did it with my three teenage sons, on the drive home I had to call in to get some fuel and opened the car door to get out but my legs wouldnt move I had to lift my legs out, it was a fantastic day. Grats on finishing the Cotswold Way, now please come back soon and try another. Maybe the Penine Way, which is 268 miles in Northern England with a little bit in Scotland 👍 Or the King Charles III England Coast Path which will be completed in 2024. That’s 2700 miles of amazing coastal hiking.👍 If that’s a bit too much try the SW Coast Path, which is 630 miles. There are many more, I would love to see you amazing folks return and make some more UK vlogs.

Great stuff, enjoyed reliving my own treks on the CW via your adventures (I once walked from Bath to the woods near Hawksbury Upton, the reverse of your days 9, 8 and half of 7) in one day of torrential rain. Camped in the wood that night. I do not recommend. Of course now you need to re-do it with the Selsley Hill optional route (Nice Stroudwater Canal section) and at Stinchcombe Hill did you take the short or long option? Did you know passing through Doddington Park that is is owned by James Dyson? Great vlog, thanks again. I also recommend the Ridgeway, South Downs Way and the Hadrian's Wall path.

Well done guys you did well, how many steps did it take. It is known as the English Civil Wars and not British as there were three between 1642 and 1651. They were part of a wider conflict however involving Wales, Scotland and Ireland known as the Wars of the Three Kingdoms, it sounds like something out of JRR Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings.” The tracts published by the Levellers before and during those wars were the inspiration for Thomas Paine during the American War of Independence. He designed the first bridge across the River Wear (pronounced we er) in my home city of Sunderland in the north east of England. It was a small world even then.

Congratulations on finishing your first long distance hike. Watching your series of vlogs has been a truly joyous experience. My first LDW was the Cotswold Way, as well, but when it came to training I lived not much more than an hour from the Lake District in Cumbria so I was able to pound up and down the lakeland fells to get fit. As a result I don't ever remember getting particulary tired on the walk. You on the other hand live in Florida. I looked to see which hills and mountains you would have been training on only to find that Florida is as flat as a pancake. No wonder poor Rachel was struggling at times. It makes you achievement all the more impressive.

As an Englishman, I'm well aware of how intense the heat can be here.If you ever do it again, please pick up some paracetamol and a tube of Germolene cream, which my daughter fondly referred to as "magic cream" when she was younger. Worthy of our time to enjoy repeat viewings, through the coming winter months and beyond. I look forward to discovering what is yet to come and also, what has come before, in your previous videos.

I really enjoyed this series and like a lot of the other commenters I didn’t want it to end. I appreciate that you the time and expense to travel to the UK and make these films so thanks for that ❤️ 🇬🇧

What a fantastic result. Memories that will last forever. You deserve more than the few subscribers that you currently have. It is said that Americans never walk anywhere but you certainly made up for it. I could see that you were struggling sometimes, Rach, and that made it all the more awesome.

Hello. Ok, I don't do this but your series made me want to write to you. I live in the Cotswolds and it takes a couple of Americans with blisters to remind me how lucky I am. You did so well. We see a lot of walkers who take months o complete it. I hope ou enjoyed it and I hope that there will be more videos. Take care and , remember, it is just one step after another. It would have good to have met you for a beer.

Really enjoyed that series. You did great. If you come back again maybe do another British long distance trail like offas dyke, Hadrian's Wall, the coast to coast, south downs way or maybe the west highland way in Scotland or the south west coast path around Devon and Cornwall. So many lovely trails to do. Hope to see you again someday.

Really loved following you on your journey - very well done on completing it in such good humour. I’ve walks various parts of it (I live in Bath) but never the whole route - maybe I should consider doing it all in stages? You’re very inspiring guys 👍.

This greatgrandmother of 87 has been with you every step of the way. Rachel, I wept for your blisters, marvelled at you sheer guts and tenacity, and cheered like mad as you finished. You both did America proud. Please hurry back and come to Yorkshire.

I think around 100 miles on a long distance path is just about right for a RU-vid series. Others have suggested much longer paths for future trips, but either these could not feasibly be completed within, say, 10 days or might present either logistics issues (eg accomodation) or be physically arduous - not that the Cotswold Way was 'a walk in the park'. I think the sense of achievement from doing a complete path is a worthy thing to aim for as well. Other paths that might fit these parameters are The Ridgeway (89 miles),The South Downs Way (99 miles), The West Highland Way (96 miles), The Hadrians Wall Path (84 miles) The Yorkshire Wolds Way (79 miles) or even more local paths like The Vanguard Way (66 miles). The more northerly ones might require more wet weather gear, though.

Really enjoyed all of these videos! 17 years ago I did some walking (lol hiking, why do Brits call it walking) in the Lake District - highly recommend some of those hikes too if you want to go back. I don't think I could do that kind of hiking - or what you did here - today. I know I said it before but Rach, you killed it. I 100% would have given up. Thanks for sharing! I doubt I'll ever do the whole thing but maybe next time I'm in UK I'll do some of it. Thanks for sharing your trip!

Do you wish you'd had walking sticks? The thistles are killer and really hurt. How did you do laundry? I'm 70 so have to get in shape but dang it is so hot in fl I don't want to go outside. Shoes? What did you wear? Trying to get my Sanford friend on board and my Atlanta friend. Second time watching and wanting that cider. We climbed Crough Patrick in Ireland and that was a feat plus did 100 miles in London in 8 days so think we can do it with lots of gin & tonics. Thank you

We've never used walking sticks, but I bet they would have helped. Agreed! Now that summer is here, we'll be staying inside! We wore hiking boots and tennis shoes - much preferred the tennis shoes, as my feet started to swell. (Love Sanford by the way, we live in Longwood!) I bet you could do it! Thanks for watching!!!!
