Hey America! I'm in the Surgical ICU at the hospital you were at (don't want to publicly name it) and I saw you walking with the big group of med students the other day and freaked out when I saw you. My favorite youtuber!!! If you weren't in the middle of the tour I would've come said hi. Anyways, I hope you liked the hospital and good luck with the rest of your interviews! I just recently got accepted to medical school and I have to say, your videos have definitely been instrumental in keeping me motivated and focused and just generally excited for my future in spite of all the challenges it took me to get here ! Alexis Destiny that’s amazing congrats! I am currently going to into community college for 2 years to complete my GE’s and then transferring to a 4 year university majoring in Theater Arts but will definitely go to med school after and hopefully with ambition get I in! I can’t wait!!

Alexis Destiny aww thank you so much! Sometimes I feel like maybe it’s to hard to get in but I know that I want to be an OBGYN so I will work my hardest to get in, anybody can do it though! No one should underestimate themselves. What specialty do you think you’ll take in your residency?

You are so inspirational! even though I am not in the medical profession. Im going for my Bachelors in social work right now but eventually would like to do clinical in social work. I know it might be hard and take a toll on you going through medical school and not really being able to socialize which is why you are so inspirational. Kepp moving forward, I love watching your vlogs, wish you could post more often, but I understand that you also need time for yourself :)

I am interviewing in Family Medicine and my husband is doing Internal Medicine. We have driven to all of our interviews and all of my hotels have been covered by the program and I would say 80% of my husband's have. So we won't spend as much as many applicants, just wanted to share a different perspective on a diff specialty. We wanted to stay in the southeast, but have driven up to 12 hours for interviews so far. Love your videos, thanks for sharing!

it's very dependent on which specialties pay for hotel rooms. West coast and North east don't tend to, as well as programs that struggle with funding also don't pay for hotel rooms even in family medicine. It's crazy how expensive it gets when you have to fly everywhere. people who can drive to all their interviews are much luckier than everyone else who has to fly for the majority.

@@JM-gy1ev Agreed! I can't imagine. I know a lot of people do choose to stay close to home and wanted to let them know that you can definitely go all season without flying too much and keeping costs down depending on where you live and where you apply. Just a different perspective. We have a lot of students who want to stay within 4 hours because they have kids or family nearby, and many are applying to significantly less programs than the national average and do just fine. It's all so individual to each student. Thanks for sharing!

Hi America! I work at a bank and all I wear are slacks and jackets, if you need to buy more, I suggest tj max or kohl’s because I’ve never paid more than 40$ for work clothes. I’ve had them for years, quality is fine :)

I’m originally from Georgia and now I live in Rhode Island. One thing I miss is how friendly and approachable most people are in Georgia. And I miss the food too.
