Nice shooting… I have the “Tanker” version of the Enfield, no hammer spur. It’s also a SOB to break open as the top catch has to clear the hammer to function. Dangerous to open with loaded cartridges as I have to (slightly) pull the trigger so the hammer lets the catch open all the way.
Yeah that sounds a bit sketchy, is it a Mk1* or Mk1**? I recall seeing when researching these that the two star examples had a few safety issues so they switched back to the one star design after the war ended
