Most of the girls are younger and were probably in bed already. She mentioned in the video that she was going to the laundromat after she put the kids to bed. There are probably other reasons we're not aware of. I'm not sure why you chose to be so unkind to her and her "excuses for kids" but it helps no one. Please stop.

They are currently waiting to get hooked up to the city's water and sewer. Their septic system can't handle a family of 14 which is also why they use paper plates. They have to limit their water usage until the issue is resolved.

The Dougherty family's home has septic. The septic tank is not working well. They have asked to be hooked up to the city. They are waiting on them. I wonder if cleaning out septic would help? IDK? Some people like doing laundry in the laundry mat.

@@gabriellacallahan2649 Part of the issue is the frequency in which they need to have it emptied. It's very costly having it done so often.

It sounds like there actually aren't neighbors dealing with this because, from what I understand, the city won't do it until more people nearby request it and I imagine people request it when they're dealing with this type of issue.

@samanthalongley1457 in my country all this request just to pay for this if I want to be "in system" if we don't have more requests from neighbors. So money talks.not just sit and wait when someone maybe would add themselves to the list

Please remember many of her kids have executive function disorders, which directly impacts a person's ability to organize materials, stick with tasks, complete tasks with multiple steps, etc. That's not to say they can't do it, but it might take them longer to learn and/or they might be able to do some aspects we don't see but not others yet. We can't know the specifics, o/c, but let's keep that in mind rather than criticizing them for not doing things "like normal people do."

Seriously thr her kids not urs so jus keep ur hateful comments to urself. I still help my youngest clean thr room thr 17 and did that to my others and they all turned out very responsible and very clean. I can't stand ppl who complain la how she raises her kids in my opinion keep ur mouth shut unless ur gonna say nice stuff. Jealous ppl ughh 🙄

Same, my son is 10 years old & he does more than these kids do!!! He does laundry helps me no end & he can make a meal. It's not good doing everything for them how are they supposed to learn if you keep doing it for them.

Please remember that many of her kids have executive function disorders. That impacts what they're able to do when. That's not to say that they are incapable of helping -- quite the opposite. They can certainly help at their own individual paces. It just means that maybe (as an example) instead of being able to do their own laundry and make a meal by age 9 or 10, maybe they'll be 13 or 15 or 18 when they can do it. And that's totally okay.

I've been here a while and agree with you completely.

I have a theory that a lot of the hate comes from a place of insecurity. It seems like some people are so insecure in themselves and their abilities that they have to lash out at anyone doing things differently to validate themselves and their choices. It's really toxic behavior regardless of the reasons though!

They're using her to gain viewers so they will have income, imagine using money to feed your family from hating another person/family 🤮 such a bad youtuber/influencer. They're so jealous and insecure.

@@Julie-kb6ns I agree. I also think there are a few other things at play here. Her parenting style is more relaxed and less authoritative than what many expect from YT moms, especially w/ large families. She also doesn't work super hard to defend herself. Those two things lead people to think it's okay to walk all over her, especially if they're having a rough time themselves. Going along with that, she doesn't always explain why she does things the way she does and we naturally don't see every part of her day. So people fill in the gaps with their own sometimes insane speculations and collect more speculations from others as they read things on reddit or whatever. Most of them don't really care what's right or wrong or if they're perpetuating misinformation, etc. The people who make money off her gossip fall into all of these categories. And then there's the fact that she's raising neurodivergent children. Almost no one, it seems, who comes here appears to understand just how completely that affects every single aspect of her life. It is so much different than most can begin to imagine. But they don't try and instead project their own expectations onto her and rip her apart when the two don't match up. These are some of my thoughts, anyway. There's probably more.

She said recently that she'll have to check again to see if there's a laundry service nearby that will work for her. It sounds like she's looked into it before.
