I’ve been cleaning and getting a huge pile of things to take to the thrift store. I’ve been staying positive while being quarantined. I’m in my home safe with food, books and plenty of cleaning to do. I am thankful for the healthcare workers, delivery drivers and grocery store personnel for all they are doing during this time. One of my favorite sayings is Bloom where you are planted 🌺 so fitting during this time. Happy Saturday 🌸

Google User I understand what you are saying. It is tough. But like Kathy said if it doesn’t bring you joy and/or if you are not able to use it, pass it along to someone who can use it. Knowing that what you own but no longer need or have room for is able to bring joy to someone else’s life will give you a sense of peace when you let it go. 💗

Google User trust me getting rid of it will feel good! Especially donating it or finding someone who actually NEEDS it, the anxiety or sadness even that you feel will be short lived. I've struggled with this. I absolutely minimalists live and can function and while I'm far from that and probably won't ever be a true minimalist it feels good to get rid of clutter and not have such an abundance. Plus its SO much easier and quicker to clean with less and at least for me when I get rid of a huge amount of stuff or have been functioning with less I feel less guilt when I do get something new

We have a long stick that extends and screws in and unscrews light bulbs, no ladder needed. Got it at home Depot. But I bet Amazon has them too. It works on all sizes of light bulbs.
I have one for my 15 ft ceilings... it's called a "light bulb changer." Many of the major hardware dealers have them. It has a basket-type rubber-coated gripper on the end of a pole. It collapses into itself for storage.
I have one of those poles to change recessed lights in my 12 feet ceilings. I bought mine at Home Depot & they are open in the SF Bay Area. Easy to change!

I’ve been cleaning and vacuuming every day during quarantine 😂 it’s so therapeutic. Also, just purchased the CeraVe sheer tint mineral sunscreen you reviewed and I love it! I’m always afraid tinted sunscreens will make me look like I’m wearing make up but this sunscreen does not. It is great for my skin tone as well. Thank you so much for recommending! Tinted sunscreens are usually pretty sheer on the skin. :) However there are a few that have more coverage and look more obvious like Australian Gold's SPF 50 for the face. I like the CeraVe one too! :)
@@gabe9286 Australian Gold is very popular, it's also very matte on the skin so if it doesn't match well to your skintone, it's more noticeable. I used to use it as a makeup primer but it's just too drying on my skin. Stay well. :)

My (physician) husband took Latin as his language in high school which has served him tremendously well in medicine to pronounce and spell all those science-y things *you* so easily pronounce in your videos. I took a dialects class in college, and it is an absolutely fascinating subject. All that to say, he and I both have caught each other struggling to pronounce what we've only read in books (viscount, bergamot, etc.).
I really admire you, with all that is going on you always seem positive. I feel very lonely and lost and can't seem to keep myself busy. Hope your mom is doing well.
My mom will be doing her hair this Monday (cut, color, roller set). She has hair between shoulder and arm pit length. She always wears it up, but it's so fine she sets it in rollers to give it the hold it needs. She'll also be taking care of her feet and nails this week. It's "pamper week" for my mom after she did the top floor last week (all curtains washed, all windows cleaned). She's 74 and I see her and dad daily, because we live in 2 apartments on top of each other (house converted apartments due to disability). Mom and dad are my main caregivers (government appointed) and so I have no choice. I guess we are all risk groups, me with my "issues" and they due to their age. We heard today from a cashier in Aldi that one of their co-workers was being kept in an artificial coma due to Covid-19. When it hits you, I guess it hits you. :( Hang in there, especially if you run the risk of higher exposure. Give my best to your mom and Tybee; greetings from Belgium (EU).

About the garlic press making it stronger: garlic has a defense mechanism that releases the compound alicin when crushed, the same one that gives it the pungent/spicy garlicky flavour! 😊
Yes ! I have also taken latin in the past , also speak Romanian fluently and have taken some French , know very little German but i have always been fascinated with the origin of words and it’s quite easy for me to figure out the meaning of words i don’t know because of this mambo jumbo base of languages i have . I was born Romanian but have been living here in the US for 20 yrs .i was fascinated with English and books very early , at around 10 yrs of age I taught myself English and French with books . I totally share your opinion and enjoy figuring out uncommon words :)
I took a class in college called Greek and Latin roots of English that was incredibly informative. I think it would’ve been more appropriate to learn in junior high.
Helpful hint: I noticed you’re using the “wrong” side of your cutting board. The side with the little trench is for catching juice runoff like watermelon or meat. The other smooth side is for chopping and easy sliding stuff off.

I do, I have very sensitive skin. Funny story, my best friend's sister in law, an engineer mind you, employed with IBM for years, had her husband rush her to the ER one night because her skin was turning blue. She admitted she felt fine, but she knew that turning blue was never good.......the ER nurse took off her shoes and checked her legs. They were fine, the nurse calmly, but bluntly asked her if she was wearing a new sweater, she was - a blue one. This friend pointed tout hat her face was also blue. The nurse asked her if she ever touched her face....So yeah. The family is never letting her live that down, or her husband either one. She works for Microsoft now.

It is SO cool that you had Latin! I wish one of my schools had taught it, I always wanted to learn Latin. I feel for your Latin teacher. I don't have Lupus, but I have RA so I know just a little bit about the pain. I hope she and her doctors were able to find a good treatment plan!
I took Latin in college. I loved it. Conjugation helped with grammar and being able to guess what an English word you may not know, could possibly mean or what it could be in reference to. I thought it was a fun class!! I guess I'm just a nerd.

RU-vid has more ads now, and before your video started, there was an ad for this machine that (supposedly) improves the look of your skin. It sounds like a marketing gimmick to me, but I am curious if you have seen any ads for it, and what you think.

You can purchase a tool on Amazon to change light bulbs that are unreachable - its like a “long arm extension pole” with various heads to different style bulbs !

I love Latin too! i was lucky enough to have 2 years of it in Junior High back in the old,old days. I love it for all the reasons you mentioned. I'm an introvert, and it was great that I didn't have to speak it. All I recall of it is "puella est pulchra". The girl is pretty.
Amazon, Lowes and Home Depot have Light Changing Telescopic Pole, which works great for changing bulbs. We have one and it works great. Love your videos, they have helped me so much with skin care and the correct way to use sunscreen. I look forward to watching you daily. Hey Dray, instead of buying a ladder to change your bulbs look on amazon they have extension pulls made specifically to change light bulbs with high ceilings. Hope that helps!!
