I was going to say watch the screens more often and do more patrols, you might notice more happening than you think!!! and as always be care full for what you wish for, you'll be glad nothing ever happens...........
Your job as a security officer is to observe and report. Your eye and ears need to be focused on those cameras observing parkinglots, doors, and windows for trespassers and people doing harm or vandalism.
I can tell you from expierience watch what you ask for 30 percent of shootings in the USA are from outside or active shooters and 50 percent of shootings in hospitals are in the emergency dept and have to do with armed security or police firearms being discharged....maybe if your looking for action your in the wrong dept because alot happens in hospitals...great video.
Never film and show the clients cameras and information on social media. You and the security company can get into some really hot water by the client. They can fire you from the company when they see this video. Better delete to be safe.
I'm not hating on you I'm extremely happy for you I would like to let you know most of the things your saying could possibly get you fired, I understand you are expressing your feelings rule #1ALWAYS WATCH THE CAMERAS NEVER GET COMFORTABLE if an emergency occurs I don't see you acting in the proper steps I see you being extremely lost and INATTENTIVE and non alert
You can not give away names of anyone, no cameras monitors to be filmed ever, because this way you revealed the areas that are monitored, by deduction you show actuality areas that are not monitored as well. No walls, because there are copies of documents pinned to the walls with information on them.
"This job just doesn't pay enough for me" "I literally sit here and do nothing all day, don't even look at the cameras like that" 😒 🙄 So you get paid to do nothing and that isnt enough? It's almost like if you actually worked you would get paid more right? Crazy idea 💡
I love what you’re doing. $10 an our is just crazy. I’m from Australia and they usually pay us from $25 to $30 an hour. If you work full time a week, you’ll probably earn up to $1,600 a week. But then again, housing rent is through the roof. Anyways hope your going good and keep up the good work.
Don't quit just go to your operations manager and let them know that you need a higher paying position that this isn't enough and did you want something more challenged. I do agree 1071 is a joke they need to be paying you at least 14 15 bucks an hour at the minimum.
If it's a chilled job and nothing much to do just like she is stating, then why complain that the pay is not much,. Then she needs to do more work for more pay.
I used to work for Universal Protection which is now known as allied universal since they emerge back in 2019 certain locations that allied have don't pay well. It's only several areas that pays decent Hudson yards and upper Westchester county ?
As a Security Officer you should never show your work site. You could put yourself and the company employees in danger. Its also a violation to record while on duty. Youre definitely not following the companies protocol.
Well let’s hope nobody from management or the company higher up sees this video seeing as you literally just told them they basically pay you to sit on your phone all day.😂
The very easiest job and you don't do anything......I'd be doing my homework, get some classes done on the website. That's the only way to get ahead in life. Security guard is a job for you to make sure that you are doing something in your life bigger. But if you want to just have a chill life and not carry your job home it is a good fit as well.
What a complete clown show. This EXACTLY what you get with Allied Universal. I've worked in security 8 years, armed, certified in, armed security, corporate protection, private protection, high risk security contracting and first aid. Allied actually hired me as a site supervisor, then 3 days before orientation called and told me they decided to hired 3 site sups and would make me one, but with 10k less per year. This company is an absolute joke like almost every large corporate security company. They buy up small security groups, run those contracts into the ground, then loose those contracts back to more professional and proficient smaller companies. They hire and promote based on equity over merit which lowers the quality of service every time. I want everyone to have the opportunity to succeed no matter their race, gender, religion. Thats what this country is about. But when companies focus on equity and looking more diverse over experience, certification, knowledge, work ethic, the quality of service suffers. When quality of service suffers in security and other public safety roles, people's lives are at risk. I've watched security companies hire and promote because they wanted a particular race or gender in that role and that is absolutely wrong. I've witnessed this personally more than a dozing times. I've seen companies like G4s/Allied ignore things certain people do or don't do on the job and fail to fired because they don't want a lawsuit. I watched a guard assault another guard, not only did the company not go after the guard that was guilty of assault but fired the one who got assaulted because he called the police after the assault. I watched this company ignore the assault because it was done by a black male on a white male.. I watched this company also fail to fired minorities because they feared a lawsuit. So what happens is certain people can come in late, no call no show, break rules, do whatever they want and the company will almost never fire them unless its something they can't brush under the rug.(isn't that right Mr. Sissons of g4s?) It saddens my soul to see this in our society. I work extremely hard as a security professional. I invest a tremendous amount of my personal time and money on courses, training, certifications to be the very best I can be in this field. I do this not only for career opportunities, but because I care about preserving life and the protection of others. I see over and over people like this girl hired into security. They brag about how they get paid to sit and watch vids on their phone. People like this, lazy, entitled and look for every opportunity to do nothing at their job. No professional pride in what they do, no desire to do more, to be more. Yet who do companies like Allied, G4s, Aegis strive to hire and promote? Often times, the ones that will benefit from the most equity.. its amazing to watch. So much opportunity given away to people who don't deserve it, while others strive to be the best, look for ways they can learn and do more and get passed by time and time again. Our country use to reward effort, hard work, dedication, professional responsibility.. Now, I'm on RU-vid watching another perfect example of Allied/g4s. Stay woke Allied! lmao
Thank you for showing your experience! I’m in a bad place right now and I’m wondering what job I can get that would be easy on my mental health. I’ve done retail for many years and I’m done.
@@joileceiabriana1449 i feel like (based on watching other videos) they’re very much a hit or miss. Some work in really bad places and have problems as far as their paychecks. I also hate wearing uniform 😭 idk idk. I know it’s an easy job but I’ll see. Do you still work with them? How is it so far?
Big picture you got to realize a lot of these companies don't really want security we save them money on their property and liability insurance. We literally can turn million dollar insurance into $10,000 insurance because with having security there a fire alarm sprinklers cameras everything lowers their insurance cost. But what companies do is they try to get more bang for their bucks so they paid the security officers very low but they're not really paying low the client doesn't see it but on the contract side they usually paying about $29 an hour and you get the 1071. It's kind of like working for a temp service. Unfortunately allied is kind of bound until the contract expires to renegotiate for higher rates and if they go higher they'll probably lose the account to another security company. It's going to be very hard pressed for them to find somebody to work for that load rate and stay there consistently.
Did you just apply ? And they help you get your guard card or ? And do you get to pick your site or they just put you wherever? I’m interested 😭 but I’m kinda scared idk what to expect nd I don’t wanna be placed in high risk area
I just got hired recently and haven't started yet. We get paid $15/hr (minimum, if you're armed, it pays more, along with other certifications), work 14 hours a day, 4 days a week (can still pick up extra shifts if we want). Looking forward to it, as it's way different from what I'm used to, work wise.
@@wintercoco524 took me about a week. Had to through the initial paperwork, get fingerprinting done (FBI background check), and go through the orientation
I literally just got hired a few days ago my first day is today how is the pay I know it’s weekly pay but some people say the pay is good around $500 - $600 weekly I’ll be getting 32 hours unless they give me more when the time comes
I am in California the overtime where the money is. I can easily make $1000 to $1500 a week take home. Unfortunately all the non armed contract security companies don't pay unless you work overtime.
I work hospital security through the actual facility and not a contract company like Allied. It's armed and I'm not giving my exact wage, but it's much higher than I made when I worked for Allied previously. Also, the benefits are outstanding as it's the same for me as the medical professionals that work there as well. I understand why people leave the field of security altogether, but if you stick around long enough, better opportunities will come.
The pay depends on the contract for the site you work but in Virginia I work for the city I went 11.75 now making 18hr my job is okay I love what I do and the people I work with I do the parking garages some days nothing happens but when it do you have to be prepared and no what to do and say but the longer you work the more experience you will get
I work at a hospital in security, I have no clue what you mean by nothing ever happens. We are constantly holding combative patients down, writing parking warnings, trespassing violators, making arrests, and helping those who need it. I also work armed and through the hospital not a contractor like Allied. We have a trauma center, behavioral unit, and a 24/7 emergency room. I guess that makes it different. Just when you said you don't do much at a hospital, I was completely confused. I'm constantly running around getting my hands dirty.
@@everardoramirez3709 Because our Hospital, in accordance with our city and state governing agency who certifies us gives us that permission as long as we are on our property. The only thing we need assistance with is having our city pd transport our arrestees. We do everything else. Take out warrants, serve those warrants, make the court dates, and so on amd so forth.
ikr. Fun times working in hospital security for 10 years. I also had to transport bodies to the morgue. HOW FUN. Never working in hospital security again.
Security does write tickets make arrests. Depends on the place you work. I'm heavily armed where I work . I make arrests when necessary eject from premises. And much more. I'm very well read in general law. If you are a security guard you are primary first responder on scene. I've saved 2lives performing cpr where I've worked .Arrested 2 people. Had to use pepper spray multiple times . You have to know the law. Penal codes. Use of force. When and when not to use handcuffs. If your not doing these things you damm fo sho ain't a reeeeaaaaaalllll security guard. STUDY AND KNOW THE LAW.🥳🥳😎😎🥳🥳🥳🤡🤡💖💖💖🤡🥳😎😎😎😎😎🥳🥳🤡🤡💖💖
Now why would they pay you a decent hourly rate pay if you are on the phone doing all the things that you’re clearly not Supposed to be doing and you accepted the position at your rate. Guards like you make minimum, if you don’t have an education, well spoken, experience, military, degree, correctional officer 👮♀️… I for sure make $25.00 with plenty of over time… yeah !
Never worked security. But in theory if you do more you should get paid more. But hey chill out jobs are good for people where the pay isn't as important. But when I was looking to get hired onto a firm here. The supervisor said it to me the best. Security is a transient position meaning it's usually is for a short time. In their case it's people wanted to be cops. Or just some temporary money. But it's good on a resume. Means someone will always have a job if they do good at it. Just be safe ok.
Hello I am from Philippines working now as a ladyguard here in a big mall for more than 3 years until now can I apply in your agency are they provide working permit from Philippines who want to apply in your agency 😊😊
Wassup queen shi I know dat struggle. Know ur worth n shi these big-time security companies do try to low ball people. The lowest I ever made was 15 but that ain't shi living in Jersey.
Also, recording yourself on video at the job can lead to termination. Why? Simply because it reveals what you are doing on company time instead of doing your job.
I am the Educational officer for our site. They do pay very well. Take advantage of the Edge courses. That will help you greatly. Our officers are armed and we do well. We get PTO too. A company like this can help in other area's.
This video was so hard to watch without covering my mouth it's so wrong first off her way of saying the word security sounds like she is eating something and the answering the phone without saying officer (name) is rude. Then showing the public the camera screens and recording phone conversations it's just lawsuit and a fireable offense. There should be a requirement security academy with the top officers that make it through not just little girls and boys hired to watch property just to fill a shift on the schedule. Low standard/quality of guards equals losing properties.
Back in the day when I worked for allied i and my buddies only worked the night shift and we screwed around so much. We would race each other with the golf carts, fall asleep, order chinese takeout , watch movies on the computer. We didn't do shit because the pay was shit and if anything happend, we just called the cops. Its not our job to police. We just watch and report but most of the times there was nothing to watch except maybe once in a while a homeless dude would trespass and at which point we call the police. It was a chill easy job but the money was ass. And also the supervisor was my friends older brother so we got away with alot of stuff 😂😂😂 at 9.50 an hour what did people expect.
@@joileceiabriana1449That's not true. I've been in the field of private security since 2015, and I have only increased my pay through the years. Yes, when I started, it was rough only making about 9.50 an hour, but if you stick around long enough and gain experience, better opportunities will come. There are a ton of security jobs both private and government that pay very well with good benefits and retirement.
Yeah don't allied see these video. They will black ball you from ever working with them again. You said that we don't really watch the cameras. That puts a bad reputation on the company. Just be careful hun.
You don't deserve to get paid more. Making a RU-vid video isn't more important than contacting your supervisor to find out who that lady speaks to about her badge
