Seems like you take pride and knowledgeable in your work. Hard to find in this industry. Hopefully, you stay in as it needs people like yourself to help others strive for more professionalism.
being sec gd at hospital in malaysia is the worst sec job, we constantly standing all the freaking time. the rules keep changing and seldomly lack of respect to our personnel.
I'll be working graveyard shifts soon and I really can't wait! I'm 21 but I've been working in manufacturing too long and I'm kinda over it and besides I've been really interested in being a security officer because it looks amazing and I love security in general. Like, securing my home and remaining vigilant at all times is something I'm good at so getting paid for it would be great!
@@nunc889 I started working and going into my second day with Securitas, I've been posted at a large shopping center with 3 Zones we get assigned to secure. So far so good however it seems like it's a lot of customer service tbh. Of course I must go around checking doors, remaining vigilant and making sure all roof hatches and tunnel doors remain closed however the way we interact with the public is really important.
I worked as a Third shift/Graveyard mobile patrol (foot and vehicle) officer for almost 5 years at a Military armory. The job definitely has its pros and cons. You outline a lot of things that pertain being a security officer. Seems like you are passionate about your job. Love the background jam. Keep doing you man and best of luck and wishes to you. #RiseUp!
@@nunc889 I mean legit it was chill when we rolled in. Basic scope, It is in bad neighborhood and the parameter fence was a little lower so people could hop over. Before we came on board the last contract one of the guards got stabbed and several beat up during being on duty. Plus incidents of stealing multiple cat converters off of state vehicles parked outside. Just a bad situation. The security company I worked for at the time armed all of us with Taser X26's (Law Enforcement model), OC Spray and optional armed classes with half off a 9mm Beretta service revolvers. Uniforms resembled Ohio State Highway Patrol (Identical) with patrol vehicles that resembled them as well with green/white lightbars on all vehicles, The company had a lot of money out there bringing people in, and the pay was good but they got big way too quick and had financial issues and had to close up. It was a retired former police officer that opened the company and he wanted to enjoy life after having issues. I was employed for 5 years and left as a Lieutenant/Supervisor. I'll miss that company by far one of the most realistic security companies I ever worked for. The contract was dropped and Allied security took over and changed everything back to unarmed guards and I said deuces and left. Now I sell and flip used cars through eBay motors and do Lyft/Uber lol.
Sheesh that seems tense brother! I don’t think I’d wanna secure something so important lol. I was at a clothing distribution warehouse, we had minor theft …. Nothing too serious tho
@@xbxbraeannxbx5567 yes I been here 2 months now I’m very happy I’m out in a area like he is,I have my own office I walk around the building a few times and check trucks in, it’s really laid back I love it for sure!!
I love this video I am also a security officer but I am so limited of what I can show because I work in a federal government building I do Post every so often about experiences though at work would love for us to be RU-vid buddies
What do you do whenever there’s no cars at the gate and you’ve walked around ? Can you just chill on your phone since you’re alone ? Obviously whenever someone has to enter I would get up but just wondering
Bro I just started like 2 weeks ago and what ever u doing, that’s what I am doing. Except the fan there .. we have a a/c refrigerator. The only thing that scares me is by someone breaking it
I remember Weiser Security was on the far N side of Houston when I was living there looking for security gig's. Do you like your pay? Since you know there are gig's that will pay a few bucks more an hour.
You like that gate guard my friend works there he said he was working like 12-14 hours 5 days a week but he day it's good money and guard gate is better then post but I'm just like ion know
hey loved this video. I'm a filmmaker from Australia and looking to get my security license. would you be interested in letting me do a few edits for you as I could see some room for improvements? I would not ask for payment but I would love to get involved with your videos.
Can I ask you a question about your job . Ok your unarmed what do you get a flashlight nothing else . Ok what if there's a situation do you radio dispatch to call the authorities ? Or do you call on your cell ? I'm looking into being security
U need to get a coffee machine there , i worked in those kinda guard shack before as security & bought a coffee machine there , specially if u work Grave shift security job is all about how lucky u get in site wise , like get in nice safe site site like u have ..alots sites have camera all around u , they can see u even ur a-hole, managers & supervisors everywhere & they test u every day ..thats why i choice worked in Grave ..now i working for UPS & making banks
I thought security guards hate youtubers, since they may record on private property and security guard is like no you can't do that. Do security guards get people in trouble b/c its their duty or because they want to? Like say for filming / riding bikes, skateboards, not shoplifting.
@@nunc889 i had some koo post to night snift thought and i just got tire of working nights taking a lil vacation right now to i find some thing in the morning
I've done security for over 25 years and can't believe to this day that companies still put security officers without protection like hand cuffs, batons and tasers. you want property to be protected. give these officers the tools to do it. 2024 and still treating officers like it's 1984.
If your posted in a guard shack.... your a guard.... If you actively patrol and have more duties other than to sit at a post.... your an officer. thats 8+ years of being an officer versus a guard.
@@nunc889 Thanks for responding and also i got another question, What other requirements are for this job?i have no experience and want to get into this,
Security guard and security officer is 2 different things just saying I'm a security officer at Methodist hospital in TX and we get trained a bit different like CPR and how to detain emergency detention patients and things like that its just different training and different job we don't stand at a post we deal with dead body's kids included witch is kind of hard to deal with but much love bro keep it up 👍no hate all love bro 💯💯
U still work here can u help me run a name cheek ivan zhong june 13 2001 I got a missed call from police can u run my name too see what comes up if u still work a s secuirty

@Dorian Nixon I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Yea I do agree with ya. Pay wasn’t that great where I worked. Definitely great for retired ppl, I worked with a guy in his 70s, he would fall asleep often on night shift 😆
