dead ass, i used to go to graphics a few years back and shit was whack, one long ass hallway with different rooms, shit school lunches(weren't allowed to go out), only had basketball, soccer, and track as sports, no electives at all-the classes they give you you're stuck with, the library was shut down for almost a year, the principle had us carry plungers(fucking toilet plungers) as hallway passes. What I hated most was no cellphones and the full body scanners. i wish i had gone to a high school like his
I'm in college now! Third year. No shock, the more pleasant environment boosts my motivation, graduated with a 1.6 from Graphics and now I'm holding a 3.2 GPA. Education mad important, the education system should step up nurture and grow kids interest in school, more money for the arts and athletics, clubs, trips, and general school activities that give kids opportunity and experiences they'll be glad they had.

Your electives are so different from my High School. We have Architecture class, Welding, Construction, Automotive class (They teach you how to work on cars and how to paint them), Cosmetology, Meat processing, Livestock management, Plant management (you plant vegetabes), small animal management (farm animals), Criminal Justice, Art, drama, culinary arts class, journalism, photography or have the option to go half a day to college and you get your associates while attending high school, or go half a day to your designated school and the other half of your day to a school of arts which has piano, guitar, dance, t.v and radio, and a bunch of other stuff. I live in Texas so idk if that's the reason our electives are very different! We also choose our classes since we have a lot of electives.
lol it's my school in Laredo, Tx. Other schools in my city have different programs. Two schools have a medical program that also gets you your associates but those classes are on the campus so you don't have to go half a day to the university. We have school buses that transport you from school to school. My school is the one with the most electives so students from other schools go to my school for the cosmetology program and we can go half a day to other schools for the medical program. Plus, all schools have the option to go half a day to college or to the Fine Arts school.
Wait, do you pick all your classes? In my school in Canada, we get to pick our courses. In grade 9 we get to pick 2 and in 10 we get to choose more. By grade 11, you only have to English and math. Everything else is chosen. I thought that was the norm.

GrandeButera nope, in england now theyve changed it so that you can pick your courses from yr 9, im in yr 13 now and we used to only be able to from yr 10. Its the same time as they changed the grading system from a-u so its now 9-1 right?

Wow I like this video it shows the differences in my high school in Texas compared to New York and your daily tasks getting to school and getting to go outside to eat food and actually hang out outside with your friends and not be in a school building all day and seeing your different school lunches

Y’all in the comments need to realize that NYC is not as good as it seems. It’s dirty, overly expensive, people are rude, Manhattan is overly crowded, very dirty subways, there’s a homeless person everywhere you go, the weather is always up and down. It’s a pretty nice place but it has major down sides. (Born and raised in nyc.)

OMG, im from the Netherlands, and when I look at this kind of movies and this kind of schools, im so happy to be grown up not in America, or any big city. Looks to me like a lot of stress, and the building looks like it had his best time.

You’re lucky to any subject you want, in the UK from Yr7-9 you have courses which you would have to stick with. However, once your in late year 9, your allowed to pick any subjects you want to learn for the GCSEs. However, english, math and science are mandatory.
Honestly high school in NY seems so damn fun. I mean even going to school looks fun, imagine the many after school hangout spots. Damn I wouldn't go home till night fall
My school is soo different then this!! I go to school in rural Canada. Although we do also have some pretty cool classes. We have a full auto shop, wood shop, metal shop, computer science, and of course comtech (TV production).
My school has a lot of electives and another big building for my school district that has a lot of career paths that require more technology then just one school can offer but your school has a lot more freedom with lunch and stuff. But I’m definitely happy I don’t have to walk up 5 flights of stairs everyday.
Ok that is crazy. My school has 4 half floors😂. That looks pretty big. You can leave for lunch if you drive yourself to school(if you have a license to drive). It’s almost an hour long which is crazy. Your supposed to eat lunch then go to tutorials or a club or the other way around. I wake up at 7 in the morning. That school is boring with nasty lunches. Mine has some really nice stuff(with some construction zones). You get to pick your electives and you must pick an endorsement. I’m a Freshman in high school.
Omg so lucky ! American students are sooo lucky. I live in France, in Paris and high school is really not the same like I always finish late, we spend a ton of hours in school, but we just have maths, sciences, history, english and for me chinese, french obviously, and that's all, we don't even have art or music. I would love to live in USA but we have some things in France that you don't have where you live, like the gouvernment helps us when we are sick so we don't have to pay nothing and we own money even if we don't work, we have a lot a vacation and everything so that's pretty cool.
I go to a school in the suburbs of Chicago and it sucks ass. You literally get Saturday detention if your late to class, caught with your phone and if you even ditch school. This school was prison I’m glad I graduated. My counselors suck !!!
Nyc schools are so different, you have smart schools where you gotta take test, then smart schools where they just look at ur grades form middle school (like my school) then you got rlly big school that have all types of ppl then you got the affluent schools and then the ghetto ones and then the private ones and the Jewish ones and the catholic ones and yeah too many to name and also, applying to high schools in nyc is kinda like college where you pick any school in the city to apply to and you have a list and everything- like we’re not restricted to only our school district
I graduated HS in 2010 in Texas and honestly, the only thing that is really different is the actual size of the school (5 stories is ridiculous lol) ... My HS was a technology/media/arts school so maybe that’s why it seems similar to this

Ngl this is like regular manhattan schools preforming arts schools in ny usually have a lot more rooms and they’re usually a lot bigger and nicer because they have huge budgets
my school literally has all of those classes and i go to school in wv yo 😂 (except for japanese lit and tv show creation, but we do have news studio). (we also have sports medicine and specialized musical instrument courses). another cool thing with our school is that we can have a mix of long classes, short classes, semester-long classes, and year long classes. (i do wish we could have an open campus like you all tho that’s pretty cool)

He goes to “I” school, yes that’s is the schools name “I”. The top 2 floors of the school are owned by “I” school and the lower 3 floors are owned by a different school called Chelsea CTE High School.
Damn this school was cool and all but it all seemed so old and crowded. I go to a school for math and science in VA and we have cafes and the building is made of all glass. Its public too
