I love how you genuinely love being a nurse.. as a prospective nurse it’s hard these days to find nurses online who love what they do and aren’t quitting the field to be Instagram sell outs. I’m not mad at them for it, it’s just nice to see people like yourself who inspire me to keep going and know that it’s not always terrible lol thank you for being you and having that genuine love for your patients 💕🙏🏼

Hi Rachel, I'm so excited for your channel and what other days you'll be taking us along with you soon! I just accepted my first nursing position in a new grad residency in Oregon! I just thought how it would be fun if at some point incorporated into one of your day vlogs or sit-down videos was a discussion of your experience so far with nursing in Miami/Florida specifically, like the typical deets on ratios/pay/how well supported nurses are/commuting/patient population, etc.! Anyways, I've loved watching your day in the life videos, especially as I get ready for that night shift life

Can you make a “what to prepare for before becoming a nurse”? I am a medical assistant for 3 years and I would love the advice! TIA!

First step I’d do is look up the schools around you or the programs you’re interested in. Are you wanting just an ADN or bsn? Look at their requirements bc each school can require different things & accept different things. Ex: some programs are ok w/ A&P combo class as I AND II, others like where I live you have to take full semester of anatomy and full semester of physiology. Same thing with Chem. Some programs are ok w/ general chem others want general + bio/inorganic chem. Second would be making an academic planner w/ school counselor so they can help you plan out what classes to take and how many units to take. Idk if you need to take GEd classes or not but if so I’d say start at CC. Save yourself lots of money. Just know whether you pick ADN or BSN you’re going to have to take general classes that you would need to graduate any college + nursing prerequisites your sciences (A, P, chem, & microbiology), math (stats). You’ll get some bonus points for already having direct patient experience (yay!) Good luck!!
