I'm here thinking the partition is brilliant whether your child has Angelman Syndrome or not lol! But seriously...you have to be able to drive them safely so many places, and you can't just move him to another car. This way, he's part of the family and can't ruin the drive (unintentionally, of course!). Awesome job!! ❤ Edit: For some reason, your videos haven't popped up for me recently, but I have to say that the progress I see in just a couple months is absolutely wild. His walking, communication, and DEFINITELY his behavior have improved dramatically. I'm a little choked up! 🥹
Love you Griff Dog! (that’s what a friend with the same name at camp wanted to be called). God has blessed you with so many wonderful people. I don’t consider this a disability I consider it a different ability. I’m blind and autistic and also have major anxiety.
No not exactly. Angelman Syndrome causes developmental delays intellectual disabilities speech balance and sleep problems but it does cause mental restrictions which is what an intellectual disability is
I've been waiting for this video! As a twin myself, I know that we know each other on a different level and Sawyer and Griffin do too. Sawyer did such a good job hanging with Griffin. Hope you guys are doing well!

there is a RU-vid channel called. All kids are perfect. The lady is a specialized kind of like rehabilitation something or other but anyway she works with children like Griffin. They also have developed a scholarship program and have accommodations for disabled children. They do some kind of specialized therapy. also, I know Griffin is not have down syndrome or mental retardation. My cousin was actually born with mental retardation and he goes to a wonderful place called Stuart homeschool it’s a very special school for disabled children and adults and once you get in, they have a scholarship program that no matter what happens you live your life there so when his mother died and there was nobody to care for him, the school took over and he is staying there for the rest of his life, everything is paid they go on trips he goes to school. He loves to pick up sticks so every morning duck truck comes pile of sticks and one of the fields and he goes and picks them up and they do they like stuff for all of the kids, so he’s also the mayor of the school , it’s a wonderful place to put it out there. A lot of people do not know about the place wonderful place for children, disabled children.
as someone who spent their entire school life and special programs and who is also legally blind, I can tell you schools are not meant for children like Griffin and honestly in some cases I think it’s really cruel. I went to the blind school for sometime. I found out that they had basically dumped these children there they were sad, but they were all worse than Griffin. They really had no communication skills. They couldn’t do anything they couldn’t really learn and for lack of the term they were simply warehousing them and I thought you know it just seems so wrong to me and the schools are hard if you have problems, I didn’t actually have books that I could read until my last year in high school , though my mother offered to buy them I wasn’t taught in terms of training at my actual school. I remember going to take a class in computers and being left in the library because why the hell did they send the blind girl to a computer class and nobody knew that there was anything that could be done so I spent my time stapling papers and finding out that we were doing the same thing over and over again was terrifying especially when you find out that your people in other classes are doing real high school work and you’re doing fifth grade work There was no personalized attention. None of that. kids like Griffin should go to an alternative school that is made for them to this day. I do not understand why I wasn’t at the blind school to begin with it was it was crazy that things like this happened but they do and I can remember the end of your studies, and whether we go, I got the diploma and my friend didn’t came down to one thing the teachers were split because remember kids are not learning at the same level therefore, when we took the test to graduate a lot of the teachers didn’t feel it was right because we would not know how to do a lot of it so some teachers often to help with answers other teachers did not got my diploma because our teacher decided it was not our fault and made sure we got at least a diploma my friend who is in a different class did. not . and it’s really made it hard for her because if you only have severe learning disabilities, getting Social Security is not easy not easy at all. The only reason I have it is because I’m legally blind, but it really does make a difference lies as adults anyway I just wanted to throw my few cents in.
What do you do when your son with Angelman syndrome nature night because I know we can’t talk unless you put something that helps him Able to get to you
Hello! I just stumbled upon your channel and am very grateful to see this little window into Mr. Griffin’s lifestyle. I have a few questions, if you’re comfortable responding, great, if not, no worries! One of my students is an angel and I’m always trying to find new ways to better meet their needs and set them up for success. Recently I’ve been troubleshooting some posture stuff at the table and LOVE that activity chair you guys were using during breakfast, and think my friend could benefit from one. What brand chair are you guys using? I’ve looked into the Ruffin activity chair (looks like maybe that’s what y’all have?) Also, do you have anything you love/hate about it? Would you have a different one if you could?
My younger brother has Autism too! Im glad theres people who knows what it feels like to see people who with mental disabilities get treated so badly at school, Terrible. thank you for these videos ☺️
Please answer this. I was wondering if griffin ever had. An absent seizure in public? If you don't want to answer this you don't have to I was just wondering
Angelman Syndrome is a rare genetic condition affecting the 15th chromosome. It causes symptoms like seizures, intellectual disability, development delay, speech issues, and balance issues
Can I ask why there is a glass pane in between the two seats in the back, can people with Angelman's Syndrome get aggressive so it's there to protect other passengers?
I have someone in my life who is 7 and is in diapers 24/7. I was just wondering what type of diapers Griffin wears? I was also wondering if you use booster or stuffers in griffins diapers? I was also wondering how often you check griffin’s diaper as well? I find the person who I know leaks a lot, just trying different brands. Thank you very much.
7 and 6 are surprisingly not too young for CBD, but either way, we should not be making treatment suggestions because we are civilians, and not a part of this person’s care team. If you have information you really want to share, maybe try sharing a peer reviewed article.
You and Will are amazing parents. Griffin has come a long way and I think its because of your commitment to your kids and them being the best they can be ❤️
What do you mean can’t react? Kid threw his tablet across the room. Behavioral disorder or not, he needs to learn. I’m sure he can comprehend punishment, he’s not stupid
