wow I’m surprised to see anderson mentioned here, I worked with him few years back and I passed my CNA, I’ll be going for nurse practitioner exams and he gonna be my back bone. 😊

Thanks for sharing! I start class next month. Question: would you recommend... Assisted living or Nursing home, which is easier.. you do 12 hour shifts or 8 hour shifts.. I subscribe also 😊

Thank you so much for subscribing💕! And I’ve only worked in Assisted Living and it’s not that bad because most of them are independent but from what coworkers have told me, working in a nursing home is a lot. And in the summer I did 12 hour shifts but now since I’m in school I only do 8. The 12 hour shifts aren’t so bad if you’re working in Assisted Living. (Hope this helps)

How many residents do you care for on 1 shift?

At this new assisted living facility I care for at least 12 people but most of them don’t need assistance. Now out of that 12 it’s probably like 4 people that I actually have to pay close attention to and do more for them. I hope that makes sense!

How did you get into this type of work,?

Majority of the time you have to take a CNA class to get certified but since I’m already in school for Health & Fitness Management and I have my CPR certification and BLS they accepted me but that’s only for assisted living. If you want to be a CNA in a hospital or become a travel CNA you have to be certified or have your license. (Hope This Helps❤️)

Shanti although I’m a nursing student lol let me tell you that CNA life was cut when we did clinical’s and this old man threw his ish at me and called me a N word lol 😆
