@@andrewwilliams9887 when i worked with coke i always had help at walmart but when i worked with pepsi i never had help their way of “help” was taking stores off of you for the day
I did the job but got out of it quick. They telling me my day starts at 6am in orientation. First day after orientation was done I had to be there at 4am. 2 hours may not seem like much but it’s a huge difference when you’re talking early morning, which means you gotta get in bed 2 hours earlier and so you see very little of your family. Also, the work is so stupid, moving the same 12 pack 4,5,6 times in a day because you’re restacking overstock pallets to make room, but the thing that chapped my ass the most was the product rotating. If I stock 12 pack coke today and those 12 packs have an expiration of May 10, 2024….. then I come back tomorrow to stock more 12 packs of coke to refill part of the shelf and those new 12 packs have an expiration of May 14th, 2024, I’m supposed to take all the May 10th packs off the shelf, put the new stuff on bottom and put the May 10th stuff on top…,,.. That. Is. Beyond. Stupid. If I was stocking gallons of milk that have a 2 week shelf life, ok, but stocking a product with a 8-9 month shelf life? Stupid and a labor intensive waste of time. Rotate the shit once a month and be done with it. Just stuff you don’t need to be doing everyday, days are long and hard enough having to always go help out other routes so your day goes 12, 14 hours. Just destroys your body, not meant for everyone. Wasn’t for me.
Yeah rotating the stock is annoying . I work in food service so I know how it is but I know this is on a bigger scale. In my area they’re looking for a merchandiser and the pay starts at $23. Not sure about applying tho after seeing these videos
would be great to have a clock to count time as in another video of yours love to see you working hard / sharing experience im doing only 2 store per day but its different for every company
I start working as a FT merchandiser in Orlando, FL. Says mininum days are 8hrs until completion. Anyone know what the average amount of hours per week you work as a merchandiser? Is the company big about cutting overtime or is there opportunity to get overtime? Thanks
I just applied for a Coca-Cola Merchandiser Part-Time position. It says 1st shift. Do you know what the hours are like? 5am - 12pm, etc... Thank you! Keep the grind going.
Depends on the route, I try to work coolers before the truck arrives, we are paid for 10 hrs, most routes take at least 10 if worked even close to right, some are 14 hrs, I'm driving bulk this week and I will have over 80 hours
@@麒麟飞舞的 I’m 19 so I have school ontop of this job most weeks I had one day off and while the pay was good it was not worth it. The job takes a big toll on your body you are pulling and lifting heavy things all day and sometimes if you didn’t have a route like me you would get thrown onto other people’s lazy work then be blamed for it. My managers we’re lazy and they threw me out on my own after like 4 days of training. Start work at 6 am be up at 4:30am drive an hour to where I need to be. Do countless things in each store, to just go onto to the next. I had days were i was up at 4:30am got home at 6pm and had to get up and do it all again the next day with 1 day off. For 17.50 an hour it was not worth the amount of time, stress and work I was doing
@@SprixyyI'm about to start for Frito lay soon full time not in school think it suck that bad really 20 a hour plus compensation for miles on personal vehicle 68 cents a mile full benefits I don't think it sounds that bad man
@@alex-pr4zb I’ve actually heard good things about the chip companies, not as much of a toll on your body since it’s just chip bags and cardboard boxes. I knew a couple frito guys from my normal store, you definitely make enough money to live on your own etc. but personally with my experience with coke it wasn’t worth it. However, I do wish you luck my man and I hope you enjoy it
Came upon your video because i am thinking of applying for either a Pepsi or Coke merchandiser. I wonder how many stores you are taking care of. Looks pretty straight forward. Are you working another job too or just this one? Great Video and attention to detail like expiry date checking.
I say it’s better night shifts since you won’t be in the crowd when there’s shoppers around it can get complicated when the store is full of customers and you have a big load to deal with.
Great videos! I work for the Reset Team for Coca Cola Consolidated in VA. I’m thinking about possibly making videos about the day in the life of a reset team member for Coca Cola.
Love the video! Awesome job Doerico! Also I can’t remember it there are dates on the 2 liter drinks and if so do you have to take those off the shelf or not? 😍
I'm about to start doing this I was at first stocking the small stores but now it'll be bulk I'm ready for it I'm glad u post these vids man it's so helpful bless up my dude!
I swapped from Consolidated to Pepsi, I didn't like the management at consolidated Coke and I also didn't like paying two different state taxes. I also do enjoy my bosses and being a merchandiser at Pepsi a whole lot more than I did with coke. I also have a super hard route that usually gets about 35 pallets within two days. but other than that everything else was much more smooth.
How’s it going man? A recruiter reached out to via email about a merchandiser position in my town One of the qualifications is that you have a reliable vehicle???? I’m sure we’re not using our personal vehicles on the job or are we? Lol
In Spokane Washington, we work until we done. I’ve worked a 15 hour day with 5 stores building multiple displays with multiple loads! It’s good money if your willing to put the time and work in.
Did you guys go ORM(order replenishment merchandiser) as well? I'm an ORM in West Texas. Since going to ORM it's all about volume. Order, order, order! Even if the store doesn't really need it. Order order order.
How do you know where things go? With all the drinks do you just remember all of them? For me I work at Amazon as a Vendor and whenever I look at the fridges with drinks it’s either I take a pic of all the fridges or go to the storage room and list down whatever I have in the storage room so that I can display drinks neatly. Any tips would be appreciated cause I love my job and if only I could make things easier for me my shifts would be smooth like butter cause I’m in control of everything.
