The pay is only good cause of hours you put in, McDonalds pays good if you put in 50-60 hours a week, that is, IF!! and only IF!! they let you. Also, you can easy make 90k-100k as a security guard lvl 3 for Loomis, since you put 60-70 hours a week. Good luck on having a life and family time. TX Troopers salary is based on a 50Hr work week.
@johnvines4875 Dude cut the crap. As of this year, the average pay for Lumas security guard is 39k a year. Within two years you can be making a 100k a year THP. Did you get denied and now you're feelings are hurt?
@@johnnywhite26 sure can..... They violate first amendment rights by not accepting criticism of themselves personally, the state, their role, the laws, they take it personal, get aggressive or write tickets on that behavior alone. We have every right to criticize any part of government without the expectation of punishment.... 2nd amendment is pretty clear if you've ever been pulled over. They ask dumbass questions like "why do you have a firearm"? This always brings more rights violations, for their safety they want you out of the car and in cuffs, a violation of the fourth amendment..... They can use outright lies like, "I smell marijuana/alcohol, or use trained dogs to "hit" on something as a lie to perform an illegal search, more circumvention..... The fact marijuana is illegal at all is complete hypocrisy, and yet another avenue to violate civil liberties..... They are trained to believe resistance to a search of your vehicle or home is considered suspicious, and they will escalate intimidatiom tactics to get the search without a warrant, when in reality you have every right to refuse a search without a warrant, there's nothing criminal about refusing a search, while it is felonious behavior to attempt to circumvent constitutional liberties..... There aren't just specific actions they take but strongly built in behaviors that render the majority of law enforcement as criminals who care less about constitutional rights than they do asserting their false sense of authority...... These behaviors are encouraged and exacerbated by training designed to remove liberty. Manipulating or coercing someone into giving you consent to search is circumventing basic liberties.....taking advantage of people who don't know you can refuse illegal orders is circumvention..... Anyone can refuse illegal orders. Everyone needs to be aware there are strong limitations on police authority.
Negative, out of the 19 military candidates we had, only 2 qualified. Being in the military does not mean an automatic acceptance. before your contract ends, see a recruiter, take the test, pass the test, wait for the poly, if poly is good, last step is medical and phsych, and I have seen high speed soldiers fail that. so don't give up a good job for something you don't know if you will get accepted. the whole process takes about 4-6 months
@@lonewolfsim6837 not my opinion. Anecdotal sure, but still true. I've been bullied and harassed by Texas cops my entire life. Ex military who become police officers bring their military attitudes with them. It's ironic how they risk their lives and have lost brothers allegedly to protect our freedoms, then become cops and ignore the constitution, making their sacrifices completely pointless.....
I’ve been working armed security for 13 years and DPS wont take me because I don’t have 60 college credits. I cannot afford it and I refuse to take government aid or personal loans. Drop that bogus requirement and you’ll have yourself a pool of candidates. I can write better, well-structured reports than those who are “educated”.
Hmmmmm 🤔 do i wanna work in the oil field and have far better pay and benefits or do want to be a highway traffic cop that writes tickets all day and is a giant pain in the balls to society in general. Yeah, I'll take the oil fields over being a glorified hall monitor any day.
The irony of stopping nondangerous vehicles in the most dangerous location, the side of the highway, is the cherry on top of the road pirate racket known as traffic enforcement. Abolish qualified immunity and make them subject to the same laws as us plebes.
Because they work highways thats the purpose of it idiot. They have control over three counties going into schools are for more like police and sheriffs
That wasn’t the state troopers…Also, what about all of the heroic deeds police have done? You are really going to call all cops bad because the ones at Uvalde messed up? By that logic, you could call a black person in Colorado a murderer because of what other black people have done in Chicago! That doesn’t make any sense.
@@Alpha-zj2bfThe reason this person commented that was because the Texas Highway Patrol had 91 State Troopers at the scene in Uvalde Texas and this is the same Police Department that had 91 Troopers on scene who did not do anything to stop the shooting and protect the children and teachers.
I would join the Oil Field over being a highway meter maid any day of the week. who wants to have a career where all you do is sit on the side of a highway and ticket 1 in every 10 speeders that passes by you? being a road pirate and reaching in people's pockets for victimless offenses is a joke in the first place.
@@BobBilly-co4cr I grew up with cops in my family, 3 of them. They were absolute pieces of shit: Racist, alcohalic and drug addicted. Went no contact wit them over 30 years ago.
