Being a old school plumber I would have bent all the pipework up with only one joint and solderd it

Lock the zone valve into manual position on all Honeywell valves, they slip right off then mate. Not doing that and prising it off can cause the spindle to come off with it and you've got a bad leak on your hands. Been there.

Regarding to the stone you found in the pump it happens quite often and many times is the solder from the pipes 😉

This is my job everyday too. What are the press fittings like? I’ve used them on a college course, but then the lecturer said that they were always getting leaks, but it does make the job faster. I do my pipe work the old fashioned way… Heat Mat, Blow torch, Solder and Flux, but I may go and buy a push fitting gun myself one day. Great video. 👍👍

stone in water system probably got there when the copper pipe was outside on the ground a small stone got wedged inside - with the water flow finally ended up at the pump. PB had a similar stone he found in some pipe work

Nice one , that Ridgid sniffer seem's a bit slow to pick up and it needs replacement batteries , you would be better getting the Anton with re chargeable battery as it's really sensitive and can pin point a leak pretty quick.... 👍

Do you never use a Regin Connector block? Saves a lot of time, looks a lil messier, but is really nice and good for future maintenance too I've had it before where Soider has got into weird places of a boiler, the Pump, or the Flow filter, but never seen a stone

Hi, really good videos. I'm returning to the gas after a 5 year break and reminding my self of what to expect. If you find a difficult to remove hob that's siliconed in, try running a blade to break the grip of the silicone first. Are you Self employed or with a firm?

@dazl7954
@dazl7954 Год назад
if the engineer did tell the customer to remove the case from the boiler to free the pump, I would question his competency and ethics, as it looked like the case formed the combustion seal, so only Gas Safe Operatives should remove it, not a customer. I have never seen a smoking S plan valve. some nice jobs there tho :)
@PowerPlusHeatingTv
@PowerPlusHeatingTv Год назад
Need too slide the zone valve over before removing the screws you removed were to free the Synchron motor
@advancedboilertraining
@advancedboilertraining Год назад
Yeah that’s the first thing I tried off camera as I know when putting the motor back on, sometimes you need to slide it over to get it back on. When sliding it over, it still seemed stuck which is why I just used the screwdriver

As a service engineer myself, I'm deeply upset that you're using a flat head screwdriver on a cross head screw. The bloke who taught me would have bollocked me for that one 😂 seriously, though it was a great informative video. Hopefully, bringing more younger people in our trade.
@richardwilliams7900
@richardwilliams7900 Год назад
Think u will find that putting silicone around hobs contravenes most manufacturers installation instructions cos it makes hobs difficult to repair if needed and can also cause damage to a laminate work top if it's removed it can pull laminate away from chipboard base
@advancedboilertraining
@advancedboilertraining Год назад
Interesting! Didn’t know that, I’ll keep that in mind when the next customer asks me to silicone it 👍
