Just found your videos, great stuff and very informative. 1 question though, would you not clean a prv instead of changing it especially with how accessible it is? Ultimately changing is always a best option but keeps customers costs down.
@advancedboilertraining
@advancedboilertraining Год назад
Thanks Sean! In terms of your PRV question, it’s just the way I was taught tbh. I was always taught to replace it, not clean it. There’s always multiple ways to do the same job, it’s always what works best for you and the customer. There’s nothing wrong with cleaning it instead of changing it 👍

Very good video for people in training like me. Just have one question, probably a stupid one, but when you go to a breakdown, do you have spares on you, or you order them after you've found out exactly the problem is? Thanks 👍
@advancedboilertraining
@advancedboilertraining Год назад
It’s a good question! So I keep spare parts of the most common boiler faults such as water pressure sensors, pumps, electrodes etc. But normally when I go to a job the customer will tell me what’s wrong with the boiler before I get there. If I can diagnose it over the phone then I’ll take parts. If I don’t know what’s wrong with it then I’ll figure it out when I’m there and then go to the shop if they have it in stock.

Did baxi really change that fan, even though boiler clearly not installed to MIs? Especially as it blew because condensate was done wrong.
@advancedboilertraining
@advancedboilertraining Год назад
I was surprised as well. I’m not sure if he ended up paying them to do it but when I came back it was fixed. There was also official Baxi paperwork there as well

pidgeon perch? quite surprized they fixed it for you before defects were sorted. i have landlords who say they will fix things for tennants. they never do. ty for the upload.
@advancedboilertraining
@advancedboilertraining Год назад
Yeah some landlords really don’t care about their tenants. But you also get landlords that go above and beyond for their tenants which is always nice to see!
